    Request: DoL/DoH Glamours

I would like to start by saying thank you, to the developers for all the amazing glamour options available to us now!
I enjoy spending hours near the market board just trying on different gear for all my classes and filling up my screenshot folder.

Now for my request/question. I noticed we can now wear Forager's vest and Artisan's Culottes, and best of all its crafting and gathering gear that isn't restricted by class/job!

We can already wear some amazing things right now (such as various bikini, holiday outfits, Wedding gear, dresses etc etc) in battle.

Would it be possible for the 2.0 crafting and gathering gear (for example: Goldsmith's Doublet or Miner's Slops)
to be made into all classes as well?

    It would open a whole new and amazing selections of glamour options for our characters, for example;

Below I took some screenshots of my character in various pants and hats, I selected these because they are very unique unlike those you would find in a dungeon or in a raid. When mixed with the right gear they look pretty nice!

You can even mix the body pieces to come up with some unique looks, such as a Combat Medic(using the alchemist body as a Scholar)

If you support (or don't support) please leave a comment in this thread! Thank you all for taking the time to read this request.

I feel like in PvE that Glamours shouldn't have restrictions. Or at least they should loosen them a bit. Instead of making it based on what classes or jobs that can use them, base it on their heaviness or material. That way mages could glamour all light and medium, or cloth and leather, opening up glamours greatly.

I think the whole purpose of them being class locked is due to the unique look they provide the respective crafting or gathering class as well as preventing getting gear for all the crafting/gathering classes once you get a single of the classes to 50. However, I wonder if they could add level 1 crafted, dye-able versions of the armor much like they did for the Coliseum Gear, that would give you the look of the gear, without the stats causing balance issues.

If for example goldsmith clothes could be used by all classes, then people could use it on every crafting class instead of gearing those properly.

    I have a compromise.

For every set of class-exclusive gear (as in "THIS CLASS/JOB ONLY", not the Light/Medium/Heavy/Massive armor separation), so long as you have that job to the proper level requirements, I think being able to enable these outfits as glamours would be great!

I can definitely see Alchemist being great for Scholars, and I would personally like to have one or two pieces from other DoH/DoL sets.

This is very true. I wish instead that the ability to glamour vs equip were separate. They don't need to change which classes it's equipable by, just lift the restrictions on glamour. There is so much potential for creativity.

Just yesterday I discovered while doing spiritbonding that felt kecks look really nice. Wanted some for my SCH, but there is nothing like that for DoM.

Really? We can glamour bikinis and suits, but not some shorts? K.

It just feels like the reason of wanting classes to retain visual identity is already gone. Let us glamour anything (with the same level restrictions) and be done with it.

I can see why some things have restrictions...

Would be kind of silly to see a Black Mage in Heavy Allagan Plate, for example. Or a White Mage in a hoodie with the Darklight plate armor. But anything short of suits of full plate (And job-iconic gear, such as the AF armors, not including the crafted gear) should totally be glamor-able. I was so disappointed when I learned I couldn't wear my Alchemist coat as a BLM.

It's equally as silly for a tank to be in a bikini, but somehow that's ok.

I can see making AF non glamourable, but other than that...

Only if also battle AF gears get changed to "all classes", because it is the same thing
    I doubt it would happen

Would be really cool, actually, if crafting/gathering gear turned into "All Classes" as that would make it so much easier to be a master of all trades.

But at the same time, that would also break the specialization that the devs seem to be pushing for. They really don't want to see anyone become the "Master of Everything" without devoting the same amount of time into every single class.

I would love to wear my Leatherworker's gear for everything crafting and gathering. If that could be done.
