What if you have a job available but you had queued as a role you want to level? For example, I have both WHM and PLD available. I queued as BLM because I want to level it, but the tank or the healer drop because screw you normal Qarn, I could replace either role, but would my experience go towards BLM or am I just making my queue as BLM pointless?

I don't disagree with the idea, it's rather good, but that's the key to some people using that kind of feature.

@violyre / This did occur to me, I couldn't think of any solution other then what you mentioned, I dnt know anything about programming and all that, but could the level sync system do that? Send exp to ur previous job, or is that where the exploit is?

Sounds pretty much pointless. With this it will to often happen that someone joins with a class he wants to level and when they lose a tank or healer the rest of the party wants that he changes class if he can. And with how people are in most of the casses he will probably kicked if he refuses and we know that SE doesn't really care about abuse of the vote kick so it would only bring more problems then it could solve.

Neat idea, but... Yeah someone is going to find a way to abuse it. And, if the tank and/or healer leaves, and one of the DPS can change to a tank or healer, all that DPS has to do is to leave, swap roles, re-join in progress. When you are sitting there a while with no replacements, that will be safe to do.

Also, if the tank or healer that stayed would wait a few more minutes, instead of immediately dropping when the other tank or healer dropped, I don't know how many times we would get a full group again in a few minutes. Nope, tank/healer has fast queues, they get impatient, the tank drops, and a lot of times right afterwards a healer will drop in shortly after. If the tank would have waited, full group ready to roll. But, the healer now sees a group with no tank and just 2 DPS staring at each other, the healer is quick to leave, because they have fast queues. So unless both join within seconds of each other, the tank/healer will constantly keep dropping. Unless, you get the rare person that will ask FC for help, will wait, or like me a DPS that is willing to swap. Yeah, I'd like to level up my NIN in that dungeon, but more than that, I would like to be doing SOMETHING so I don't mind swapping to tank/healer to keep the group moving.

In 1.0 you could change jobs in dungeons and it was VERY abused by a lot of people. Some were "elitist" some were just plain stupid. It put a lot of pressure on peeps to play jobs they didn't like. Blm/Brd being the most used iirc

To people that think job switch in dungeon will be abused: That's because the dungeons were designed in a way that abusing the job switch at certain points would allow you to optimize your party setup and reduce your clear time for bonus chest that drop some of the best gear available. All of that is gone in 2.0 so any comparison by saying that it will be abused again is just silly. The only real abuses that we see so far in DF are jerks who force speed run on newbies, people dropping out b/c they didn't get the dungeon they wanted, and gold farmer doing suspicious things that no one but SE can tell.
