Legacy account holder - Transferring from Legacy server to non-legacy server

Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding the server transfer, and I don't know where to ask, so I'm posting here. I hope it's okay to post here. Also plz excuse my English.

Currently, I have an account with a legacy status (have been playing since 1.0), and I have only one character registered to it.
I'm planning to transfer my character from a legacy server to a non-legacy server, and I'm wondering, if I transfer my character to a non-legacy server, do I lose my legacy status on my account?

This may be a silly question, but I'd like to make sure that I don't lose anything before I go through the transfer process.

If there is anyone with legacy account recently transferred his or her character from legacy server to non-legacy server, can you please let me know?

I transferred from legacy to non-legacy quite some time ago without issues, all legacy stuff still intact.

All servers a now open for transfer, the last locked were the PS4 servers which where unlocked one month ago I think.

I am not sure there was a Gil limit so maybe check that out if you have quite a lot or you may lose some, i know they changed the amount you could take but if your over it could take some off you ^O^

When I transferred, the gil limit was 100k (not sure about the limit on retainers, I didn't actually have more than 100k in total when I transferred )

A common solution is buying items that have a set value (like the allagan bronze/silver/etc. pieces) on the server you're on, transfer those along with you, and sell them again on the server you transferred to. Whether you can sell them quickly depends a bit on how many people are transferring off the server though.

When I transferred to Cactuar, earlier on, I had several people ask me how I had a legacy goobbue mount on a non-legacy server. It's fun to watch people look at you in awe, even if you remind them that server transfers are a thing.

I recently transfered Legacy to Non-Legacy. Checked the servers economy out first, made over 20m from transferring thanks to it. Cheaper housing and more Gil. Win win.
