As an arcanist, I would like to be able to /sit and read my book. Basically I want the weapon drawn /changepose to be available while sitting. Would be cool if they could do it for all jobs, but some jobs would look kind of silly with a weapon out while sitting.

Actually that's a really good idea, have unique sit poses for different jobs like have my DRG's spear held upright whilst sitting, have a Ninja twirling one of his blades in front of him, a MNK leaning back on his shoulders with his fists facing forward or as you said reading a book :P
