tips for a fresh LV50 Monk

Hi all, I've just hit LV50 on my MNK and was wondering if anyone could give some tips on how to get Max DPS output on my MNK.

Currently I do this for Single enemies/boss

Touch Of Death -> Bootshine -> Twin Snakes -> Snap Punch -> Bootshine -> true strike -> Demolish+Fracture Bootshine -> Twin Snakes -> Snap Punch -> Dragon Kick True Strike -> Snap Punch.

Also anytips on when to use Perfect Balance? I mainly use it to spam rock breaker for AOE.

Use perfect balance as an opener. Shoulder tackle to the boss, ToD(optional some do it some don't) wait for the gcd then perfect balance- demolish-dragon kick-snap-snap-twin (might not make it if your skill speed is below 400) then pop cool downs (b4b, ir) weave it along with your ogcd abilities while doing your rotation.

A basic rotation following the opener would be boot, true, demolish then dragon kick, twin, snap then rinse and repeat. It's a simple 123-456 combo that repeats while weaving in ToD and other ogcd. This is only a basic rotation so you won't get confused. It's pretty basic considering you won't move around in a middle of a combo. A drawback in this combo is that you'll notice that demolish will probably get refreshed at 4-6 seconds which is a slight dps loss but like I said it's pretty basic and easy to follow for a new monk.

I use this rotation for Perfect Balance :

ToD > PB > Demolish > 2x Snap Punch > Twin Snakes > Dragon Kick. Then DK or Bootshine > BoB > True Strike(+Steel peek) > Internal Release > Snap punch (+Howling Fist). And refresh dots , TS etc. when they dissapears.

Check the first post here for two openers, one that uses PB, one that doesn't. Plus a lot of other useful information.

The main use for PB outside of an opener or AOE spam is to get back to GL3 quickly in fights where you're forced to drop it, or to spam True Strike (if you have IR up) or Bootshine (if you don't) a few extra times (without dropping any other buffs) when you don't need it for GL3 recovery or AOE.

10 posts per page is only the default setting; it is bad, and you should feel bad if you haven't changed it.

Don't open with touch of death. It's a DPS loss. Marginal but still a loss. Shoulder tackle, perfect balance, demolish, snap, snap, blood for blood, dragon kick ( or twin, but if you feel your PB will fall off dragon kick first), internal release, twin snakes (or dragon), howling fist, perfect balance off, bootshine, steel peak, true strike, touch of death (IF YOU HAVE ENOUGH SKILL SPEED), demolish, fracture, dragon, twin, snap, boot, true, snap, etc etc.

The way I mentioned it you make the most of blood for blood and internal release and OGCD abilities. If you can fit touch of death in it'll benefit from blood for blood and internal release, and it'll be used just before greased lightning resets and before demolish resets making the most use of them. Using fracture right after refreshing greased lightning is a good idea to have it benefit from blood and internal release but you could lose the benefit from dragon kick and twin, so it's up to you to delay it or not. Fracture doesn't benefit much from dragon kick and the lose from twin is gained from blood for blood so it works out.
