you could be stuck waiting forever , since u still need tank healer dps dps....How? Would the proposed roulette not give priority to new players (since you need to either be a new to that particular duty or a veteran player looking to help [or gain a bonus from helping] someone new to it)?
Imagine low level roulette, but instead of occasionally getting 4 veteran players and no bonus, it was guaranteed to have 3 veterans and 1 new player every time, plus have a higher bonus for completing the roulette.
plus u can only queue for 1 DR and nothing else , if we could queue for more than 1 DR at time![]()
Hmmm... Yeah I suppose it's possible to run into a situation like that, though being able to queue for multiple roulettes at once would make the system work (not to mention be a Godsend regardless).
If was no bonus on the low level non-new player one people would not be willing to help others as much in that one without the incentive and would only help the new player but not help anyone else. If keep bonus for both then more people would likely ignore the new player one in favor of running the one with those people experienced in the places so make quicker runs and not need to explain it as much. No matter which way you go it will be detrimental to one group or another and you also have to take into account the element of redundancy since new players are already part of the low level DR.
Segregation of that low level roulette further divides the amount of people helping between them meaning one or the other will have less people helping due to them being busy helping in the other version. I believe there are probably much better ways around helping new players than this method described in the thread. Increasing the incentive on low level roulette's for example. I actually believe SE got it the wrong way around and low level roulette should have higher bonus than high level or expert roulette. Yes higher level roulettes are harder so I can see where they are coming from but higher level roulettes do not need as much help as low level ones.

Makes sense.
I also agree about the bonuses being mixed up. If anything there should be a larger bonus to poetics and/or soldiery for low-level roulette to encourage more veteran players to make use of it and help out new players and players who need these duties for a quest or something. As it sits now, people just spam Snowcloak to cap tomes because it's the fastest, and highest reward earned.
That is because your new player is queue for a content linked to trial roulette, while your experienced group are in content linked to low level roulette and high level roulette. The problem(s) with low level roulette (or any specific roulette) is that that's not necessarily where any particular subset of players are when another subset "needs" them. If someone new to Ifrit HM is stuck waiting in queue, while loads of experienced players are grinding through Haukke HM or Sastasha SM together (again), that kinda sucks.
I know. Which is why, if they created the roulette the OP suggests, that lets us roulette into any duty, that problem would be at least slightly alleviated.
10 posts per page is only the default setting; it is bad, and you should feel bad if you haven't changed it.

Help a newbie with T5/T9 in DF, bonus +150 poetics regardless of weekly cap
(meaning, you can go over cap once a week for a total of 600 tomes).
