Unable to connect to anything ffxiv ISP problem?

I woke up this morning after the server problems last night and now I'm unable to connect to the game or the website with my current ISP. I am using bell aliant fibre. When I load the game all I get is a black screen then moments later an error -2146697211 and it boots me. Please help!

They posted this link hours ago on the right side of notes on the log in screen, I wonder if the attacks were coming from someone that is in that region using the ISP and they blanked that network cluster.

We would like to take this opportunity to make a report regarding the login difficulties that took place over the last few days.

Currently we are experiencing DDoS attacks from　an anonymous third-party targeting the FINAL FANTASY XIV game servers on the NA/EU data center.

* What is DDoS Attack?
An attack attempting to increase the server load to an extensive level by flooding the network of the targeted servers using a massive number of computers.

However with the attack we are currently experiencing, only a massive number of access attempts are being made to the server where both character data and personal information of our customers are not in danger of being exposed.

Due to this attack, our game servers, network equipment and network connection are being hit with heavy load at an extensive level, which is causing a disconnection from the game and login difficulties.

Our technical staff is taking every possible measure to address this issue but the attack is still continuing to take place by changing their methods at every moment. We will continue to monitor and work on recovery from every possible angle.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may be causing.

The problem is when I launch the launcher all I get is a black screen. I was also on last night when the attacks started happening and I was still able to login afterwards. Just trying to figure out what changed. Thanks for the reply.
