I can't believe you just ate that WHOLE cake!?

So, the other day a friend of mine either needed more inventory space, or just reeeeally wanted that stat buff, but watching her in game eat a whole starlight-log cake. Just lmfao.

It made me think about how frustrating group foods in XI were, but then I got to thinking, what if they could be 'used' like in XI with clusters? This isn't a LET'S MAKE THIS XI-2! suggestion, it's just more of a thought really.

I'd love to share these special holiday cakes with more than one person, and to be able to use them, as in to cut them into twelfths or sixths, I think that'd be a really neat way to make a group-food in this game rather than to make them AoE.
Or if they could be shared via the U hotkey instead of trading.

Let me rephrase in a way that will make this a discussion, I guess.
Yay or nay to group-foods and why? (Everyone ought to bring their own food for example.)
It marginalizes the culinarians , and how so?
What kinds of foods would this count towards?
Should it be holiday foods only? all sorts?
    Discuss.

Personally I'd like it to count towards larger foods like I mentioned, cakes, large dishes.
I don't think it hurts culinary crafters, in fact I think it makes them more appealing for things like cakes and large chocolates :U
I'd rather see it applied towards every-day foods like the crown cake as well.
And I won't get rid of my sig. > I have much worse in my gif folder. MUCH worse.
