No offense to you, and I give you much props for doing your best to change your attitude to better suit the ideals of others. However I have to agree with most of the others in that you 'made your bed so lay in it' kind of deal.
I do believe that Everyone deserves a second chance; Unfortunately the online community isn't always so forgiving...

You may just have to re-roll even if it pains you. IF you want to make better with the community. (hopefully though they will just see your good and were messing around lol)

only read the original post but its your own fault you have this issue but you already know that so no reason to dwell on it that being said i think they should have a server transfer option at simply because you could end up on a dead server hoping that after some time it'll liven up a bit but it doesn't least for your hours should be able to move instead of having to start all the way over

I am not interested in rerolling Feral Ren, and I never will roll a new character. Rerolling is like running away from the problem, to simply change masks and start anew - it doesn't work for me.

I've never had problems with you but I'm not really in the RP game either. I'm assuming that's why Besaid is so "gossipy". I haven't really seen or noticed this gossip. All the gossip I hear is about people's real lives through Ventrilo.

Rjain is right though. It also takes time for someone to warm up to you after you've made said changes but all in all, this entire thread is completely subjective. You may say you've done a lot to change your reputation but there is no way to objectively verify this. We don't know who your accusers are. We haven't heard any other people's testimony. Hell, this is the first time I've heard about you being any sort of delinquent player. This may come as a surprise to you but I'd wager that more than likely you've been hanging out with the same group of people for too long. You and/or the others around you are probably succumbing to a sort of societal cabin fever.

Take a break from the game or at the very least, from the people you play with day in and day out. This will help things cool down and all parties involved can get a chance at a fresh start.

I mean, you're not Beligan Rofl. He's purposefully notorious so I think you at least have a chance.

With that being said, I've seen people that have been let down by choosing the "wrong" server. In the beginning Cornelia was unofficially designated as a Japanese server, but that name means a lot to every Final Fantasy fan world wide. It's no wonder it's population is so large, but at the same time, I've seen complaints, especially in the early days, of how no one would talk on that server. This was probably a misjudgment as I'm sure there was plenty of talking, it was just all in Japanese or in a linkshell. I wouldn't be able to comment on that particular server's status today but I can see why some people would like to move.

But ya, Rjain's right. You don't want to reroll but you'd rather switch servers? There's no guarantee that the next server will accept you with open arms (especially after this thread) and it really is the same thing, just without the character wipe.

I'd suggest taking a break from your immediate inner circle though. I'm sure you'll find that'll help a ton. That way you don't have to switch servers and you don't have to wipe your character.

This is more about dealing with burnt bridges. You may have changed yourself, but if the bridge is still burnt and the people on the other side aren't happy to rebuild it with you, you'll need to find a different bridge if you want to cross the river.

Try a different server is finding a different bridge.

Re-rolling a character on the same server is like wearing an elaborate disguise as you approach the original bridge - if you are found out to be the original character's player, you risk significant implosion all over again.

Relationship issues can suck, because people behave like... well humans. Sometimes you're just better off trying to start fresh with completely different people, especially if you've tried to change your personality.
