I don't actually expect to see many price changes because its not going to affect the spiritbond people so much. If anything, it may mean a little more low materia on the market which should drop prices, not raise them.
What you said doesn't make any sense, if bots are the ones supplying materia and it becomes harder for them to get to that stage then the supply will drop and the demand/price will increase.Nah that's all supply/demand. I'm not saying that is the case everywhere (I've never seen bots while spiritbonding on Cactuar) but according to the post I quoted, bots are forming spiritbonding parties in mor dhona/north shroud, which pretty much says they're supplying tier 3 and 4 materia to the market.
Any server where there are actually bots forming parties for spiritbonding would be effected by a change that makes it more difficult for them to do that. Especially once the current level 50 characters are banned and they have to start over, there are a lot of additional quests to get to that point in the main scenario.
