Thread: 1.0 Titles

So today I got to speak with a SGM, and he kept trying to restore my titles. He kept telling me that he restored them, over and over, and having me check. Every time I checked the titles were not there.

Apparently, come to find out..we figured it out. He told me,

"Regretfully, these were the only titles they found that could be restored. If there are other missing titles, it may be due to not talking to the NPC in 1.0 to collect it, or may have been after the cutoff date."

I eat, sleep a breathe the forums and lodestone...even back in 1.0 days and I somehow missed it..bummer lol. Anyway, I wanted to ask the devs, is there anyway they can make it so that speaking with Jonathas now can unlock the titles we earned, but didn't 'unlock' due to not talking to some npc's in 1.0. I dunno, figured I'd try

D: wait so youve done all that work in 1.0 and just because you didnt talk to an npc apparently? You dont get credit for it... that's a bit ridiculous, it should be in SE's character data base... unless they were using shoe boxes for a filing system o.O tbh they really should honor the work I dont understand whats so difficult about it, its a no brainer and youre a legacy player not many are even left, the fact youre still playing shows your loyalty

1.0 titles have been bugged since beta. Some people have them, some don't. I did unlock all of my titles from Jonathas before the servers went down, but I'm still missing several 1.0 titles. There have been multiple bug reports about this, and it is in the planning to address bug forum, but only the Twelve know when that will happen. I really wish we could get a response to this, but I'm guessing that since it only affects part of the 1.0 community, it is not a priority for them.

^ This. Since beta I've only had Notorious Monster Hunter. Even many of my Simple Achievements & Titles like all attuning aetherytes and their regions as well as seasonal events are bugged. It's not just Titles.

Nono, I actually spoke with a SGM, and he told me that while he did type in some stuff to give me my titles, he said that he cannot give me the titles that I didn't aquire via talking to a npc BEFORE 1.0 went down...hehe I quoted it in my original post

I knew exactly what you said. I am just informing you that many of my achievements (Automatic in 1.0) and titles all of which I did talk to Jonathas prior to the last character save of 1.0 didn't carry over properly to ARR. Been that way since beta as it is bugged.

In 1.0 on Balmung many of us server wide did achievement events together before the last save. For something as simple as my Seasonal & aetheryte region achievements to not carry over is a bug.

Well I have Hermes' Shoes on my 1.0 character, but I wish that my other three 2.0 characters could get them. Oh, and my Wandering Minstrel Goobbue. Though my 1.0 character has it, I want my 2.0 characters to have it as well.

Previously, investigations into titles was escalated, which left the investigation into the old 1.0 data in a queue that was impacted by the priority of other tasks that needed to be handled by the group with access to them. I understand this could be frustrating, since the titles are important to many people and show evidence of the hard work that was done during 1.0. However, the GMs now have more direct access to the data where the titles can be investigated, and are able to better push these investigations forward in a more timely manner.

If you feel that you are missing titles from 1.0, even if you have previously submitted a bug report or GM call about the issue, please do contact us again, and we will reopen the investigation with the better process we now have. However, as was originally mentioned, this will only show us data for titles that were saved to the character data, which was a different process during 1.0 than it is during 2.0. If the NPC was not spoken to, we may not be able to restore the title, since we may not have the data to support the restoration.

I hope this helps people who have been waiting on these restores, and I do apologize for delays in investigation. Some of those delays have been quite lengthy, and we are trying to catch up on them now. But you don't have to wait for that if you submit a GM Call to look into it again. Thank you for your patience during this process.
