Has anyone noticed that the rate of the good rewards from guild tasks was majorly nerfed? I have gotten only one good reward from tasks since 1.18 was launched. Am I terribly unlucky or has anyone else noticed this?

If it's just about luck here's another unlucky one. Only had one good reward since 1.18 as well, I've played almost daily.
WTF IS THIS TASKBOARD YOU SPEAK OF?!
I ONLY KNOW OF A FAILBOARD!!

I have not noticed any nerf. I just got the 5k reward yesterday. They did seem to increase the number of possible items a while ago - it used to just mainly be shards, gil, maybe a block of fish glue. I have gotten food items and several different crafting materials as rewards - usually just 1 piece of something, like 1 iron chain. I suspect the type of award is random and possibly has to do with how many people have turned in a guild task already that cycle.
Guild tasks do need an update though - there are still only 2 ranks, stopping at rank 10 for items to turn in. I'd love to see more possible turn ins with higher sp rewards or the possibility of guild points as well.
(I usually turn in items every day at several of the guilds)

Sorry to bump this thread but it seems like a good place to ask. I'm working on my weaving and was thinking about turning in some undyed cotton cloth today for the guild task. Are there sp rewards for this or is it just gil, shards, items? If there is sp, how much do you get for the Level 1 and Level 10 turnins. Been trying to search and can't find it. And i read several threads that 1.18 and 1.18b nerfed it. Is it worth doing anymore?

I haven't done guild tasks since 1.18, so I can't say whether they were nerfed. But before 1.18, they offered SP. If I remember correctly, it was 300 or 500 SP, depending on level of the task.
Pro tip -- Guild Tasks offer SP for whatever class you are when you turn it in for a reward. So if you turn in the undyed cotton cloth, and you've got your Armorer tool equipped, you get SP for Armorer. (At least that's how it was before 1.18)![]()
Well, i'm getting my 100 shards in the same rate i always did...like once per guild task reset. Saw no noticeable changes in it.
Think I have gotten the 100 shard reward only a few times since the update, when I used to get it at least once every new cycle. They keep giving me the 5-10 shard "LOL TRY AGAIN NEXT TIME" consolation prize.
I guess it makes sense though, I have been collecting an obscene amount of shards, and I am positive I'm not the only one.
You get a fixed 200 (rank 1 quest) or 500 (rank 10 quest) sp on whichever job you have equipped at the time you turn in the items, regardless of the guild. The rank refers to the item quest rank, not your own rank - you can be any rank/class and get the same sp. You do not have to craft the items yourself.
You can turn in 1 quest per crafting guild every 24 hours - meaning you can turn in items at every guild every day, but only turn in either the rank 1 or the rank 10 quest at each.
Rewards vary greatly from gil (up to 5k), shards (up to 100), food items, and crafting items such as fish glue or an armor part.
For a complete list of the times, items etc, here is a great link with a chart recently posted by another player:
