Should I wait?

Wait for 1.19 to start seriously leveling a DoH class? Or just start now?

I'm worried that with the new recipes coming in 1.19 I would have wasted a lot of money and time on these current crafts.

If you start now, I seriously doubt you're going to be anywhere near done leveling DoH before 1.19.

If you're not sure, just do leves. Or, there are plenty of recipes that don't require a ton of mats right now. Just do those. It's not like you're going to lose any levels when they change the recipes.

No reason to wait.

I know they won't take any levels, I was just worried they would make it easier on gil in the next few weeks. You are right though I'm going to get started, no sense in waiting around. Thanks

Yes but I feel like the OP. Maybe it will take a lot less once the changes come in in 1.19. So the mats he will use to level up might have wielded more levels and stuff if he waits. So it will feel like he wasted time and materials.

I would just do the DoH leves so you can hold on to your mats and use the quest one to level up and then once 1.19 drops you can craft with the simplified/changed crafting system.

Ya it's good to get join the squatting team and get working on your craft. You will notice how long it will takesyou just to rank up on the later rank. Good luck ^^

I'd also recommend taking the time to start now. Getting to r20 is pretty straightforward for the DoH just by doing leves on a regular basis. Then you can use the mats you get as rewards to further advance your skills. You'd really only take a hit with the crystals, but you'll get a bunch of gold doing the leves so you should be able to afford more

for most crafts, its cheap or easy to get the mats to lvl to 20-30
it doesn't really start costing you big till you get to 35+

but most of this stuff can be farmed at low lvls pretty easy
so i would say start now get the crafts you want to 10-20 range atleast for now

I'd have to agree with VydarrTyr.
With the current crafting system it doesnt take as long as youd think to rank up a craft, but it takes a while to get used to the system.
If you arent used to know how of crafting already id be pointless to start getting used to it now~
