I've been pitching this idea at my friends. If MSK (or whatever it ends up being) is going to be a healer but it isn't magic based, then I imagine it would be something like a chemist or machinists - a class/job that combines items to make different stuff. The problem is of course SE doesn't like to use consumables for battle classes (see arrows being removed in 2.0).

One possible fix is to make it similar to how Ninja works. Give us four or five "item ingredient" actions that, when pressed in specific orders, create a buff or debuff or heal or whatever. So 1234 would be a heal, 1324 would be protect. Something like that.

Might be cool? Honestly after 4 years of waiting I just want my guns already.
