If they were serious about dealing with RMT they would remove the demand for it, such as doing away with the ridiculous housing prices.
As long as there is incentive to buy, the RMT will not stop.
I already cleared T6, but Blighted Bouquet was forever a dumb mechanic. Good riddance.
I see why they eased up the honeys. Oh wellz.
* The adjustments listed above will not be applied to the Second Coil of Bahamut (Savage). And so the whiners win again and Second Coil mechanics are nerfed. At least T9 is still in-tact, -for now-.
And because I know someone is going to call me some elitist trying to preserve my special snowflake status or w/e, let me just preempt you by saying that's not the case. Fights in this game do not become mechanically easier as you progress, they become mechanically harder. If you can't deal with the mechanics in T6-8 there is very little probability you're going to be able to handle the mechanics in T9, let alone Final Coil. Mechanics compromise more of the actually "Fights" in this game than knowing your class/rotation does, this is why I don't have a problem with echo because you will always have the opportunity to understand or learn your optimal rotation/cooldown usage. By nerfing the mechanics you are basically moving people into content that they don't have the ability to execute, and thus you move the complaints about content into the newest set of content rather than leaving people to figure out content that they deserve to be in still. Not everyone HAS to be in Final Coil, some people still need to learn how to deal with the more complex mechanics of T7-8 before they -deserve- to be able to move on to the latest content (6 was zergable even before these changes, so that makes it even more laughable). There's nothing elitist about that, it's just a reality that people are being advanced into content they have no business challenging just because they're upset about being left behind in content that is only ONE MAIN PATCH CYCLE OLD.
A shame about those mechanics for T6, I really love that fight. Especially when you're doing it, realize you're lagging during Blighted Bouquet, and scream "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!" right when you die. Doesn't help I find T6 and T7 really easy, despite having no clear for T7 yet (I keep encountering fools in Party Finder for T7 who keep Voicing others and can't seem to kite properly).
You're both right. SE shoots themselves in the foot and causes the problem by making the housing prices astronomical... but even if they halved the prices, there are still a butt-load of players that are lazy and will buy from the gold-farmers. BUT the gold-farmers are there more because of the need for these huge price tags. Get rid of the need/want and there will be less of them.

Also what was the point of gating the advanced class behind Sylph Management? Any, or did they just decide to do something random?

I found this new requirement the most interesting thing about 2.41. My guess is to slow down botting in WP. Can't just bot to Flare anymore. (You didn't even have to unlock airships in story before. Could just walk from Ul'dah to Gridania to get ARC.)

Pretty sad that the Dragoon buff will come at a time when it's no longer necessary. It's alright though we've seen the short end of the stick since 1.0.
I´m not on favor for this modification, the second coil have the correct difficulty, not see why have to down the level.
I have 3 months playing and have T8 clear, its just know mechanics and play on team.
I know people what no clear T5 and its nerf, so this no make things more easy if you dont know how play.
