Tome capping

I play pvp a lot so im capping unintentionally in like 2 days.

But yes Pvp is ilvl 80 synced so I dont feel like I need the gear from tomes, except vanity reasons. But I never liked using tome gear for vanity cause it was never hard to get or unique.

What I mean is, yes the treadmill is so boring and I dont really feel like I need to cap poetics.

I tend to cap just by playing the game - though thats usually on friday or saturday depending on what I've been doing during the week. At the moment I've been trying to level my crafters a little more so been running a little less dungeons but that'll soon change as I'm finally close enought to novous to be motivated into finishing it xD

One expert roulette a day is all it takes to cap in a week. Since I still need alexs after my break it's two birds one stone for me.

I'll probably take a break but kinda don't want to as i know by the time i resub all the PF groups will require like ilevel110-135 etc just to do titan ex. I mean its crazy what ilevel is doing now.
The last few meaningful content we'll get that requires gear is CT3 and a few hm dungeons before 3.0 so like why need super high ilevels for out dated content.
Its becoming ilvl > player skill lol
And yes its a huge chore now to keep capping when the only thing you'll need the gear for is fcob / some of scob. But i probs won't bother with them so ppl like me r like welp, i got full i120 gear time to unsub lol XD
Hopefully in 3.0 they will do tome gear differently. Cuz i really hope they won't make a 10th gen tome grind fest with the exact same formula....

if you unsub just because u cap tome gear for one class then u need to re-evaluate whether or not you should play the game anyway. Like other posters have said... its not a grind to farm tomes at all. One run a day of expert roulette + Morbid motivation quest + doing the map afterwards is about 1 hour of gameplay a day. 6 Days and u cap so thats 450 tomes, 6 alexandrite in a week with very little "grind" IMO. How is it a chore to do 1 dungeon a day? Do it on different classes. Run them with ur FC and goof off. IDK what else to say

I usually do the "Morbid Motivation" daily quest along my daily expert roulette, if you do it you'll eventually cap before weekly reset. If you’re missing do an extra run of High level roulette.

Unless, you have the urge to cap after reset in 5 hours so you could get an Ironworks piece of gear and let your character in MorDhona AFK to show it off. (/SlowClap) Wow, you’re amazing... You capped fast and need to wait a whole week now... and do the expert roulette just for Alex maps.

I used to hate the cap/weekly restricted item, but now I see it smart.

Lol #MORAFK is so true XD i see ppl with the new shiny gear afk for like 2 days, i relog in the next morning and they r still there lol. Much amaze?

Its just the motivation lol, just logging on and telling urself ok time to do things on my to do list feels lame.

All of those r things tht u can do whenever but capping tomes feels like u has to do ittttt.
When ur at this stage you know urself u got no use for gear this high when ur not a raider lol.
I\\\\\\'d probs feel less inclined to care about capping tomes if they just got rid of the ilevels.

Levi ex farm- must be i115 and have multiple clears. Call ur loot and rest greed.

Also if it takes u 6 days in a week to cap ( farming tomes 1 run ir something each day )

Also remember the threads - i just log on to raid with static then cap tomes for the week, then i log off till reset.

I got back to the game after a one year break and have been playing a couple of nights a week. I don't feel like capping anything and get bored of a dungeon basically after one or two runs. I am starting to realize why I left in the first place, this game is not for me, but I honestly don't see why anyone would enjoy capping tomes each week. To each their own though, but its too bad for me because I like the FF world.

Again, as mentioned before, there is so much more to do in game besides farming the same dungeon over and over again. Unlock Expert roulette, cap tomes by doing ONE run a day in six days. Leaves you so much more time to do everything else.
