Tome capping

Unless you're doing 3rd Coil, capping tomes for Poetics is pointless. There is literally no other content that calls for it. Same goes for Relic progression, nothing to do but Coil.

Until newly released content is put into solo queue Duty Finder, there is a high amount of players who won't touch it until it is.

While not a necessity, becoming stronger is never pointless because it allows people to defeats things faster and more smoothly. Like, take less time to defeat Sastasha's Kraken. Additionally, people may like the appearance of certain high level gear.

I didn't really care about capping soldiery because daystar crapped look awful, and I was more concerned with starting an RP function. I was very pumped about Mythology since that AF gear looked so cool.

I guess my excitement is related to how cool the gear looks, for poetics I've been capping two characters each week, one healer one tank, because I love the look so much.

Yeah, because people don't like getting stronger in these kinds of games just for the sake of it. There's also no content in the game that people have trouble with other than 3rd coil.

Additionally, nobody *ever* tried farming Sources in FF7, or rewriting the sphere grid in FF10, or anything like that.

I also cap Poetics on my main (iLvl 109) and alt (iLvl 100) every week.

I never did Coil, but I like being overgeared in CT/ST, thus I have better condition of helping the whole raid when there are people with low iLvl.

And I still need do Leviathan, Ramuh and Shiva for history. How I am noob against Primal, I prefer to expect being ilvl110+ before trying XD

Between farming SCoB and Shiva ex I dont really need to try to cap poetics, but I do because the gear looks nice.

I'm mostly lazy about capping and won't force myeslf to. I'll just do what I usually do... a dr ex with friends, st or two to try and get some gear, scob with group etc... and generally by friday I'll be near cap without even trying. But I do wish they would extend the gear treadmill to a year or so and just offer more horizontals and catchups in that range.

Tokens have always been boring to cap. This patch just made it worse with the severe lack of options on what to do to efficiently cap. I don't care much for the Ironworks gear since I'm sitting on fully penta-melded 4 star gear on my main 4 jobs. I'm not interested in looking like everyone else either so glamouring the poetics stuff is totally out. Heres to hoping for more variety come the expansion.
