Is it my computer, or is it FFXIV?

My computer used to be able to run ffxiv with low settings and allow me to play for as long as I wanted, but several patches later I find myself killing enemies and all of a sudden my computer shuts down

I have 4GB of memory running on an Intel i7 core, 8-way processing, and an NVIDIA GeForce graphics card. With the most recent patches in place, I can get maybe 10-20min of playtime before it shuts down all of a sudden. Is there something I'm missing, or is the game really demanding on hardware?

if you talking about low as standard or 7 then it's FFXIV -.- before the first hardware thing they did for 6hours am been getting low fps in city and outside for no reason before i ran the game at 60FPS outside and 50fps in battle and 30-45fps in city now it's like 50-60fps outside 35fps in battle and 20-30fps in city with a random lag spike of 1-15fps.

use the FF14 config tool to post your specs, and also give us all your config settings for 14; then we can tell you if its your computer, the game, or a combination of both.

There should be a button in teh FF14 config program that lets you copy/paste the PC config to your clipboard. using that is a good idea; it has a LOT of information and we don't want to overlook anything. ^^

Trying to find the button, but the window is just too large and unable to move it. Can't figure out how to resize it to where I can get to that button

It's a miracle you were even able to start the game with that. It's either the powersupply or the gpu that has heat issues I think.
