I've reached the cap so many times, I just ended up trading them all for Venture Tokens.
Really, it's not that hard to cap it, especially if you trade gear found in dungeons/trials for them.

But I will say this: along a proper "legendary" transformation for our relic, we're way overdue for a rank increase...
