Hey, I know I already made a topic about this, but I forgot to attach Dev Tags to it, and I wanted to be sure SE saw it, so I'm making the topic again.

Anyway, Yoshi-P said he had two different ideas for how to implement classic FF jobs in the future:

Yoshi-P's idea #1:
The traditional names would be introduced as “higher” or “advanced” classes, and would thus be something of a goal for players.

Yoshi-P's idea #2:
The traditional names would be more of a subset or specialization within the existing classes.

Personally, I prefer idea #2, as I like the idea of allowing specialization and customization of character abilities.

As for exactly how to implement the subset specialization, I thought it would be really cool if SE used something similar to the License Board from FFXII. Here's a couple images I made with Photoshop of what it could possibly look like:
