The ability to sort the chat log into say/shout/linkshell/party/tell would be a great feature to add. It's a real stinker currently, trying to see what you missed in the ls after a battlespam Behest or something.

You sorta can do that in the chatlog section of the menu. I made a whole chat window for nothing but say, shout, party, linkshell, and tell. Then I have a chat box for all the battle information.

I think what we need is the ability to create new chat tabs into the existing window, not new chat windows taking up valuable game real estate.

Don't be mad simply because the chat log system in XI worked perfectly fine and I am sure many people would welcome it if it was implemented in XIV. It probably will be because it was very easy to use.

Some how no one seemed to complain about XI unless they were bad at it.

The chat log in XI was simple and easy. Which would probably be best for someone like you!

While the configurable chat tabs was a step in the right direction, I agree that as a solution it still feels inferior to the XI chat tab. I would also like to see the XI functionality in XIV.

What a dumb comment point is the system was just better and there's nothing wrong with wanting it to have in XIV
