FATE: Conspiracy theory : Too many mobs required to finish

    Character name: Sousui Seki

Party or solo: solo, fate, 1 to many players

Area and coordinates: No Man's Hovel

Started in on this fate solo... one kill did approx %2 on the meter. At about 8 minutes left I had a group join me and we were able to clear out the group. The problem is we were getting so little credit and the mobs were not respawning fast enough that we actually failed it at about %98 waiting for mobs to spawn. I actually found one npc wacking on an afk player at issom-har which may have stiffled a respawn, however I think the respawn point is to far away from this place. Also the number of kills it ask for is too high. It is to much to ask to keep a spawn clean for 8 minutes and still fail.

The difficulty of a FATE is tied to the number of people who participated in it the last time it spawned. Sometimes you get lucky in that regard, sometimes you don't. I do agree with you about the rogue mobs that hold up spawns, though. It'd be nice if mobs spawned based on how many mobs are currently up, rather than having them spawn in predetermined waves.

Wow...really? the LAST time it was spawned? are you sure about that? cause that would be the stupidest thing they could possibly do. I would think if they are going to use fates, they would have SOME kind of dynamic scaling factor in there for how many people are currently participating in it. If not, why bother?
