Sorry if this was already posted, but here's an outage map of one ISP in Canada just to show the gigantic yellow dot on the map.

Not a Bell problem, just a reflection of complaints from Bell customers, I would imagine.

Thanks for the info dude. Exactly the reason why I came to this thread.
(Hint hint moaners)
Though i agree that things like these can happen due to failure in hardware or software. I have to disagree on that it can not be maintained an prevented with porper maintainence (preventive maintainence), or even controlled as it is something we use an manipulate in any realistic fashion we desire. This is nothing like a Natural disaster which happends on its own reguardless of our effort. Technology is the opposite, it fails when we fail to maintain it, it crashes when something was overlooked in the software or hardware. We have full control of how it works or even if it works at all. But as with all things in this world things ware out an break down an require an outside source to maintain it (fixing a worn out part or fixing a code bug).Oh, you're one of those...and by "those" I mean a self-entitled prick who feels they deserve special treatment because you pay for services that everyone else pays for. Guess what, that's not the way the world works. I agree with Leyza, that technology is by no means within our realm of control. We as humans can work with it and improve upon it, yes... however, at the rate that technology evolves. We can not control it. Pure ignorance is what this is.
WTF? you LOL'd me to death! You got scammed fool! that "4 years in an university studying computers" didn't help at all and you got a degree for it??. You should seriously think about trying to get your money back...I mean really.Of course not, I only spent 4 years in an university studying computers. I'm definitely not aware of how techs can fail. Who better to not know about tech than someone who has a degree on tech? The game keeps getting buggier with every patch, but of course that must be out of SE's hands. Because their Hard Drive's been crashing for the past 6 months. Imagine how much money they've been spending on new drives. If only that money could be invested into monitoring the server .... Damn those tech natural disasters!
I fully agree, Glitches do happen. But this doesn't mean it could be prevented with some thought on why they happen an attack the source. Even if it just reduces the regularity of them issues taking place. Reduce the risk. Thats to say this is a problem with the software an not hardware related. I don't think Devildante21 was saying that glitches don't happen or even things dont fall apart, he was saying that with Preventive Maintainence (looking for problems before they are) would help keep things running smooth. We'll smoother as things still tend to be overlooked but with time new issues will be addressed an new problems will be observed an this would improve their data on what they need to be aware of to fix (less being overlooked an more being caught before it gets bad).

Referring to his sarcasm? "I'm definitely not aware of how techs can fail." -Devildante21. His point is simply stating that SE is responsible for their servers be it they be in full working order (firing on all cylinders) or in schambles (ruin) that any failure in systems can be directly placed on either a failure to maintain a piece of hardward or misplaced code in software (or just conflict in two patches which is a oversight issue). He isn't saying things don't happen or even bugs , glitches or crashes don't happen. What he is saying is that these things can be prevented or reduced with the creaters insight an action. As a customer we are paying for service. As a community we desire great service (SE does to aswell). In order for continued play an payment from us its required. Now i know they are hard at work trying to figure out what the problem is. We are entitled to great service in this game (which we have been given), to date i personally havn't had issues to this degree . My money has been well spent , but this fumble isn't faultless an the source could be anything.
Yeah I got kicked out from Balmung as well. I was in a quest run and then it was lagging hardcore and then it kicked me out. I logged back 3 times and then it booted me off again. So, I gave up and will try again on Tuesday since Maintence begins tommorrow night.
