How to SCH in T10

For Scholar you can easily capture preys with Adlo and as others have said, they happen at the same time each attempt so you will eventually get the hang of when it will come.

The first prey will happen after the first charge. What I do is I'll focus on my allies debuffs and wait to see which gets the Icon for Prey then quickly click their name and proceed to Adlo. Prey has a 6 second countdown and if you begin casting adlo at 4 seconds you are generally safe.

After that he should go into electrocharge. If you split healing with your other healer, be sure to have aetherflow stacks and adlo your tank, eye for eye and virus one of his adds. Adlo on tank should be done before they spawn and eye for an eye the second they spawn with a virus on the add ASAP. Then wait for the double Prey. The way I handle double prey is to adlo one like normally then swiftcast adlo the other. During the cast time of the first adlo you should be able to quickly spot the second target. The other way around the double prey is to use Eos' AoE healing buff for an extra +% healing. Then cast Succor. If you are over Ilvl 110 you should have enough mind to shield everyone enough to absorb the prey.

The daughter should be dead by then on one of the tanks. After she dies the next pray should be coming very shortly from the other one. After that the damage should ease up on one of the tanks and your other healer could help keep the other tank alive well and you can focus more on the last prey. Holding Lustrates is really important on this because it will help you when you need to cancel a heal and cast adlo on a preyed target instead.

The after add phases the preys come right after the first heat lightning or combo (phase 3) that the boss does. After that its after EVERY OTHER one. So basically every ODD one. If you want to help heal thru critical rip, best thing to do is use one lustrate after the prey goes off at the same time he will critical rip.

One other tricky part is during the second add phase, after you kill the first two, the second set spawn. The preys will be a bit scattered but there will be 2 1 right after another... you can get this without stoneskin, just be prepared for it.

I sch for t10 and pretty much take care of all preys. My group runs with a whm as the 2nd healer. I wanted to ask you sch's, who handle preys on your own, if you ever see a 2nd pair of double preys in both add phases (2 instant preys...not the staggered one that you get in the 2nd add phase) and if you were able to cover the 2nd pair without swiftcast?

I ask cuz my grp lets dps dots finish off the 1st daughter, so sometimes I will get a 2nd set of instant double preys if the daughter isn't killed quickly enough from the hanging dots. And sometimes don't make it in time since I've used the swiftcast on the 1st set.

I DPS a lot on t10. Sometimes I'm caught in cleric stance when prey goes out. Ive found that even a CS Adlo is enough to mitigate the effect of prey. Just something I thought I'd share.

Prey has a 7 second cast. Your adlo takes 1.90 seconds at most to cast and recast with your gear set. That said, ask your WHM to stoneskin one if it's causing issues. Also see if b4b is up on your target. At your item level the damage may be breaking through.

You can always cover any double prey without swiftcast, provided you don't lag, but if you're slow to react or if you're mid-cast when the preys go out, the timing will be tight and you will be safer off using swiftcast. Failing that, your DPS can stop being babies and take a 5 DPS loss or whatever and just finish the daughter off.

I found the easiest way for me (as sch) to deal with double prey is for my whm to call out who she is getting then I can grab the other one. I was having trouble grabbing the 2nd person. I play on controller and it was just slightly difficult for me to get them both in time.

As whm, I prefer to simply PoM/stoneskin the DPS and both heals as the adds appear. As long as the SCH keeps succor up, Prey won't chip through stoneskin for that entire add phase. Whilst it's a little harder on MP, it pretty much renders Prey a non issue at that point leaving more time to focus on heals/dps.
