First let me state some info regarding Eos and Selene:
Eos in Greek mythology, is the goddess of the dawn, also Alka Zolka mentioned this "The sunlight of Eos doth soothe and shield."
Selene in Greek mythology, is the goddess of the moon, also Alka Zolka mentioned this "The moonlight of Selene doth silence and strengthen."
Not to forget to mention that both Eos and Selene are aspects of the same faerie lily in the game, while in the Greek mythology they are sisters.
However they had a brother! The brother is Helios who is the god of the Sun in Greek mythology, and the brother of both Eos and Selene.
They rule each a third of the day.
What connects Helios to FFxiv is only speculation of course but it is the sun! The Greek mythology usually associates another creature with the sun
and that creature is associated with Final Fantasy in general. That creature is the one and the only Ph.....

In Greek mythology, a phoenix is a long-lived bird that is cyclically regenerated or reborn, associated with the sun. Its counterpart is the Bennu in
ancient Egypt, which is deity linked with the sun, creation, and rebirth.
I know this could be tricky for scholar lore but not impossible, maybe not as Phoenix itself but an aspect of it. Since the knowledge of the Nymians are
NOT fully recovered. Those Nymians for who don't know are the scholars who lived in the floating city of Nym, you can have a glimpse at its beautiful
scenery in Outer La Noscea. Furthermore, the new theme for the expansion is "The Sky" so who knows we might visit the city as an open world area or
a dungeon like the Wanderer Palace and recover more about the Nymians.
In addition I looked for Phoenix spells/skills from FF history and they were mostly revive (for single target or whole party), curaga, and Firaga.
I am sure if we end up having phoenix, it won't have all of those skills. It will have an "Embrace" equivalent and maybe instant raise for single target
with a long cool down, and two more abilities in a way that makes it balance and on par with Selene and Eos.
Forgive my engrish, and feel free to discuss : D
