PS4 damage meters

The problem with dps meters is it's a double edged sword. On one hand when used right they can be of massive help, but unfortunately more often than not they're used in justification to boot someone because their dps is slightly lower or to complain on forums about how their job's dps is in poor performance and then asks for a buff.

Now if they made an in game meter that only showed your own personal dps, was non-linkable then maybe I would be in favor of it to help, as long as it's not forced like you can toggle it on or off.

They are used anyway, any gamer on PC who is doing high end content pretty much. It exists and it is being used massively. So you might as well embrace it and have everyone access it, not just PC gamers. People who are harassing others for low dps are trolls anyways and would be salty without a dps meter - in my experience.

Or SE gives us another valid way to determine our dps, and static SSS dummies in the most ideal surrounding are no accurate mirror of your dps performance.

They will never happen. The community is extremely toxic and you think a parser will help that? There are arseholes everywhere you go in this game. Try to teach someone their role or help? You dont pay my sub or lol mind your own business.

Hmh, honestly Omega has been a great server then. Haven't met a lot of those toxic people you are mentioning. And it's a hell lot worse in other MMO's. Besides, everyone who wants a damage meter can have one already and SE generally doesn't care - it's just the minority of the PS4 players who don't have the option.

The other point I made though is to implement something more serious to test your dps than static SSS dummies. That would give us PS4 players the option too to parse in actual boss fights - for our own improvement.

sure i wouldn't want to be parsed and called out rudely for being a "shitty" dps.
i do agree thats unfair and it messes with other peoples game play. but. theres so many rules already. it doesn't stop pc players from doing it? so why allow them? but what about the middle class players? if we get a system thats only parsing your own dps, then whats the big deal? i should be able to parse my own or my friends dps. make more rules.. if u being parsed against your will or idk.. against u knowing u are.. or people being rude and calling other people out for the lack of dps.. then .. easy.. report and ban them. theres 2 sides to this system and we all know this. yes you get jackasses but guys.. dont we already have them?! i want to be good at my class and provide the utmost dps i can do for my group.

but i cant see what im doing wrong by beating up a dummy that doesn't move.. or at the end of a fight where all i see is just the end number. i would like to see where i go wrong, where my dps is the lowest and to know what i need to change. lets all be real. FFXIV isn't a girlscout game. it is very competitive in the raid world. and it is very unfair that we see such high numbers from pc players. they are ontop of the food chain while we are pretty much being punished for being on a PS4. so enix, either u ban everyone on pc who use them or u give us one, or talk with sony for a ACT system on the ps4. this is in such high demand. not everyone is a jackass. i would only use it for myself and have fun with messing around with rotations. why else created high end duties?! whats the point of having savage? whats the point of damage? people who are eager to learn and have fun with this shouldn't be held back

i pay for this game.. we have to pay subs.. don't we deserve something? we pretty much make enix rich and we get a cold shoulder back. why pay for a game where its obvious pc players are like the only child. and i know ACT isnt connected to ffxiv to be clear! but enix damn well knows pc players use it and nothing would change if ps4 users got them to. but everyones game play would go up. on a personal level. so enix. why not ban all pc players? still waiting on that one..

I suppose i'll do some pvp for a while and random crafting, but i can 100% guarantee that i will be done with this game if you do not address the lack of raid tools by the next expansion.

You really don't need "raid tools" like this to clear raids. Many console and even PC players are able to get by just fine without this kind of stuff. If you do not have confidence in your own ability to do your jobs in raid environments then having a parse system isn't going to make much of a difference for you.

Get out there and learn raids like everyone else by trial and error.
