Let's see here...
That sounds very Mystic Knight. Only issue is its primary stat being INT. I think there should be a dual-spec of STR and INT rather than a focus on one or the other.
As a WAR already, I would absolutely LOVE to play Berserker. The way you described it sounds very apt, almost turning it into a reverse-tank.
I'm not keen on Necromancer being tied to BLM. Necromancer, historically, is basically a variant of BLU that gets spells from killing enemies.
This makes a lot of sense. If WHM were ever to have a DPS, it would definitely be GEO. +1
I never actually played FFXI far enough to ever see Rune Fencer (or any other job for that matter. Was too busy unsubbing while shaking my fist at Valkurm Dunes), so I'll defer to someone else's expertise.
This is something you may actually find unorthodox, but I actually believe that Templar should have a primary focus on PIE, with the auras being toggle buffs much like a Bard's.
So much this. We need a Ranger job ASAP to prompt a mass overhaul of Bard to transform it into the Support job it deserves to be.
As I mentioned before, this is what Bard is supposed to be.
Specializing in AoE attacks? That would have to make the attacks extremely weak just to not be extremely broken. If I had to make a suggestion, Gunner could be a class that focuses directly on Skill Speed and Dexterity to optimize firing speed. Gunners can't really put more power behind their shots like other combat classes, so focusing on speed above all else is ideal. Kinda like Monk, except with more boom!
I don't see Cannoneer as a tank. A long-ranged debuffer, absolutely. But not a tank.
Not sure where Grappler comes from. Originally, I was figuring Black Belt as a Monk spin-off, being a bare-handed tank that intimidated foes like Bruce Lee and used the power of Chakra to heal and defend oneself.
Red Mages are... a wild card. It would have to be implemented very carefully for it to either not be broken or not be worthless.
Blue Mages are even more of a wild card than Red Mages. But we'll see.
