They'd have to put a heavier lock-out on switching GCs frequently, otherwise people will just flock to the GC in 1st in droves after the first "Ranking" period. Alternatively people on the forums would just cry about being in 3rd place until it was changed/removed anyway because that's just sort've par for the course in this game.

What they really need to add is GC exclusive storylines, but people would probably complain they're being excluded from content or something. But yeah, I agree GCs are basically a pointless feature in this game as it stands. What I would -NOT- want Grand Companies to become is Beastman Dailies 2.0, those quests are horrible and should go die.

Why would people spend 50k gil to be the GC in first place? The items you buy with seals aren't worth it
