Introduction thread!

Hello all, let me start of by introducing myself. My in-game name is Techno Lust and I have been playing since beta phase one. I have numerous crafts leveled and a GLA rank 27 and CON rank 33. If you would like to shoot the shit someday please feel free to send me a /tell.

I am currently leveling up, working on crafts and exploring the world of Eorzea. If you would like to do some of these things, I would enjoy the company. I've beaten the rank 25 dungeon once so far, and know what needs to be done to get through that raid. If you have any questions I might be able to answer for you regarding the game mechanics, the world, or crafting/gathering questions please feel free to ask. My highest class is 44 Carpenter and I do a lot of mining and botany.

My main point of this thread was to say hello, and hopefully meet more of you out there in this wonderful world. Please feel free to introduce yourself in this thread as well.

I'm Boos Bigboo (and Schwann Lilboo), been playing since CE Launch, and Lindblum is Pretty much stuck with me for good. I run a Social Linkshell called Tantalus, Formerly of Monolith. I can come off as harsh sometime's but those that know me know this is'nt the case im just straight forward and a little lacking in patience as it is usually stretched pretty thin with how busy i can get sometime's. My focus in game is to build up the Lindblum community As best i can through tantalus, our website and encouraging new player's as they find their way.


i <3 Tactical Play , i dislike Rambo style group's.

If you find yourself in a party that i set up and/or am leading please be respectful of the battle strategy that has been set for that particular group and of the fact that i NEED to take things at a slow and steady pace, I usually end up being Healer or Tank which is a vital role to the party, and though most of you are able to just barrel through mobs as fast as humanly possible, I personally need to be able to see and respond to every message that goes through ls chat.
This and about 100 other reasons that i must explain every time someone new enter's the group gets REALLY tired after awhile.


I believe in being self-less, cause if everyone were looking to only serve themselves then a linkshell(even an MMO for that matter) would not be able to survive, and i feel this is the BIGGEST problem with the community currently. you dont have to be the best, you dont have to be the first, you dont have to be the fastest and helping someone out and gaining no personal benefit is perfectly ok to do.

Hello im Xariz Hylian im rather knew to FFXIV and the FF mmo series in general. I have played a little bit of each class and have started over many times because i wasnt sure what i wanted to stick with for my toon. Once i know the ropes im always more then willing to help out someone knew even if it doesnt benefit me at all. I just like to know that i just made someone else have a bit easier of a time with the game. As for now i have a whole lot of questions and i seem to hit random walls here and there that discourage me from playing. I definitely look forward to getting to know everyone a lot more since the community was something that sold me with FFXI (from what little i played anyway). If anyone is ever interested in just chatting or looking for a grind group definitely send me a message in game im always looking to meet new friends to spend my time in game with!

More or less I'm trying to figure out what I should be doing I find myself switching between classes a lot and I don't feel like I'm ever making any progress its just a huge change of pace from the several other westernized mmos I've played in the past
