spirit binding melded gear

just a quick question about spirit binding gear ive read its alot faster if HQ and melded but does it matter what level 1 materias u use??

will it affect the potential materia when convert for example..

if im spirit binding electrum trinkets for crit 4 and meld junk fire/water materia 1 on it will that make fire/water materia possible from conversion?? sory if my questions are confusing ;/

The resistance materia is always a possibility. I'm not sure if melding it increases those chances though.

I heard that HQ will make spiritbonding complete 20-25% faster than NQ and each materia put in them will provide around 20% bonus for the gear
about the using materia tier 1, yes, you can use them, they won't affect the chance of tier 4 (from what I've been doing) and isn't likely to provide chances of same type of materia after converted.

For SB purposes all materia is the same. It's the best use of elemental materia.
