Every B lettered patch prior to this was a bunch of bug fixes and MAYBE the addition of targeting mode A-Z. Getting overhyped off that track record is just plain weird, I did not expect what we did get since I figured patch notes would be "fixed a assorted collection of bugs, good day! ~SE".

    I respectfully disagree.

Major functionality changes and additional content are in numbered patches. Minor functionality changes are still functionality changes (something that didn't happen now does happen) and get a lettered patch. Bug fixes are put into non-numbered, non-lettered updates.

I don't see how functionality change is a waste of a patch. Especially when that functionality change affects the frequency of repairs, and thus the amount of gil a player has to spend on upkeep of their equipment ... no matter how minor that may be.

it was a wasted patch because something this small didn't need to have a patch by itself. There weren't even a lot of bug fixes. This is something that could have waited until more stuff was ready to be released/fixed. Instead, SE, AGAIN, decided to rush something and, therefore, produced a mediocre result. ZOMG GET READY FOR 1.18B! (few VERY MINOR bug fixes and a gear dmg fix that wasn't causing problems to begin with) GG SE, GG.

Healer strike is ridiculously foolish and accomplishes nothing

The one change in this patch also could have waited until they had more to add. The one bug fix could have waited until they had more bug fixes.

Are you ok with them taking down the servers every day for 2 hrs to fix one bug, or wait several days until they can fix multiple bugs? I'm certainly not ok with daily or even bi-daily downtimes for single bug fixes or single and less important changes. If this bug fix had been a fix to an exploit it would have been ok.

Grade 1 Dark matter costs 300gil.... No one was wasting any monies on grade 1 dark mater. There are people (everyone that still has low ranks) who wear things at low rank that require GR3 and above dark matter however. And so everyone knows, dieing and returning with gear above your rank equipped causes far more equipment damage. This is why they do this, those people wearing things above their rank that take GR3+ to repair get their gear destroyed very quickly from diening and returning.

I'm ok with this...after all there is a disclaimer that this was going to be, and these are Yoshi-P's exact words, "beta all over again" and you guys agreed to do just that. So not sure why all of you are bitching at the smallest things..

Are people that upset for not being able to play for 2 hours? Maybe the game is not in so bad shape after all

The thing is, it was 2hr downtime for 1.18a, which had more bug fixes and more added to it. This patch has 1 death penalty alteration and 1 bug fix. Some don't believe it requires 2 hours of downtime. Maybe 30 mins, but not 2 hours, especially not for a 1 minute download (it was 1 minute for me)
