New Name for my old character

Hey guys I've been playing final fantasy for over a year now and I thought it was time for a brand new name. Problem is I'm having throuble thinking up a good and unique name for my character who is mostly Dragoon and just beeing a melee most of the time :P I'd really appreciate if you could help me think of a new name.

I don't have any suggestions, per se, except please do not use Lionheart, Leonheart or Targaeryan. I see so many of those names in game, it makes me wanna puke.

Without going for amusing names my only suggestion is Cú Chulainn from Irish myth. Cú Chulainn is the wielder of Gae Bolg, so it is a natural for a dragoon name. There are already 217 characters with a variation on that name though .. so not really unique.
You could also go with Conall Cernach who was friends with Cu Chulainn and avenged his death.

You could always use the Naming Convention threads in the Lore section to create a more lore-based name for your character based on your character's race (based on your character's avatar, I guess you're miqo'te, in which case: miqo'te naming conventions.) Of course you don't have to use these conventions to name your character - but if you want you character to sound authentically Eorzean, then you could do worse than use those guides.

Could come up with something by looking at other media you like. Take characters from books, movies, tv shows, other games, etc. for instance. Mix and match, or make your own unique variant of one (masculine form of a female character's name?).

I'm not exactly the most creative when it comes to naming characters like some other people I know. For my character, Richter was my guy in FFXI so I just kinda carried it over, and the surname I chose was Valens. From the character Chloe Valens in Tales of Legendia. Thought the names sounds good together and the meanings kinda fit together pretty well (Richter = Judge, Valens = Valor, so judge of valor? Sounds good to me haha). Also fits the Hyur naming conventions if I recall, though I guess I'd have to be a highlander for the germanic name. Let's just say he's from Ala Mihgo before it fell to the Garleans or something =p

Or as Enkidoh said, take a look at the naming conventions for the race/tribe you chose. Or you could use the conventions of another race's names haha. I suggest Roegadyn Sea Wolves for the latter! They have the best names!
