On topic: They pretty much hinted we will get the black chocobo from quests, so every player will have access to the new maps, that leaves the personal airship as a luxury and we know very well how SE treats that kind of item.

There's no reason for it to cost an arm and a leg like housing. For one it's not a vanity item. It's a usable machine needed to travel. If players can craft it then its obtainable w/o sticking a gil price tag on it. I am all for the work involved to make it. Hours and Hours to build is fine by me. Make it a worth while goal but please no cash shop it, nor make the parts something you buy on the MB and a ridiculous price. Let this be something the FC's actually work for and feel achievement in doing together. Unique and Untradable comes to mind for the parts. I favor a time sink over a gil sink.

I have taken a few guesses on this. One it will be a crazy gil or time sink. Though they seem to indicate that the airship may be needed to reach certain areas. I doubt they will lock ppl out of content cause they are in an FC that can't get it made for what ever reason.

I would guess the parts will come from beast tribes, coil and ex primal, all tradable parts. It will need top level raiders, crafters and gathers to do it. Anyone notice only two new garthering nodes that can be hit with current 2.3 stat gear but the new gathering gear takes you much higher in stats? 4 star gathering on its way.

The best answer, expensive, time consuming and a major gil sink. Start saving your gil now and slowly knocking out crafting/gathering. Someone pointed out it takes 81 days of beast tribe quests to get the needed sealants. Or as I like to think or it, the amount of time it takes for any one person to be ready for patch 2.5 by end of patch 2.4.
