SMN novus

I never really bothered with relic previously because Book of Spades had ideal stats on it, and I didn't find it worth it to spend the time and gil on it for such a minor increase. I also got the HA book before nexus. The ironworks SMN book is awful though, and I almost see it as a waste of tomes. True the WD is most important, but I'm giving everyone else priority on tome because of how bad it is. I decided to start on nexus, hoping the next upgrade(s) will put it at i130. Question is, I don't want to spend THAT much gil on it, and was considering piety. A crit/det/pie novus would be an upgrade over the lolspellspeed on the HA book, and SMN has stupid MP issues in FCoB. What are the general thoughts on piety on a SMN novus?

1 Piety is equal to 8 MP... so its kinda terrible unless you put a huge amount into it... which is not a good idea. I would put Accuracy instead if your wallet is hurting plus it'll give you a slight bit more flexibility in gear until you get your true BiS gear. You can respec your Nexus so once the accuracy becomes redundant and you have the gil for it you can go for full Crit and Det.

Yeah, I know it isn't much. however I have more than enough accuracy as it is, so and I'll only be getting more for a while so the accuracy would be kind of a waste. if I was to go crit/det/pie how much of each stat would I end up with without using any grade 4s?(Crit 4s are over 750k on my server, and Det 4s are around 600k.)

You'll end with 33 Crit and 23 Det. Leaving you with 19 points to spend on other stats.

Crit is 11/11/11/11
Det is 7/8/8/8

So, by avoiding level IVs you would have +33 Crit and +23 Det if you fully max out level III's.

get around 10-12 acc on novus, the rest go for crit & DET, will be expensive but worth it.
