Summoner needs a quick fix too

Summoner needs a band aide until 3.0 expansion. Lets face it Summoner's generally get kicked to the curb for a Black Mage or Bard when it comes to dps checks. It's been that way since Binding Coil of Bahamut. The problem is the Summoner's optimal rotation is the most mp draining rotation as well and if we use Energy Drain it's a loss of 25-40 dps which is a massive lost during dps checks. If we keep firing away with are only reliable nuke Fester we run out of MP in the middle of a fight and our dps tanks. I suggest reducing the mp cost for the Bio, Bio II, Miasma and Miasma II, increase the potency of Dots or reduce the cool down on Enkindle to 120s. In 3.0 Expansion I hope the Summoner gets removed from the Arcanist class and become a separate Job like the Dark Knight.

SMN does strong damage, they build up their damage unlike BLM and BRD which are direct damage.

I think you need a job change OP, SMN might not be your style.

I didn't believe I would see the day a post by Akiza that isn't 100% unreasonable. Today is a good day.

edit: Lowering DoT MP and increasing DoT potency would shoot them to top of the food chain. Choose one only.

You're joking right? SMN is THE strongest ranged DPS in terms of sustained damage. Any SMN worth his salt can easily out dps an equally geared BLM any day of the week.

Because it's true. DRG is long overdue for a much needed buff. Every other job is fine.

Except for the fact that SMN will never out dps a BLM on any content that matters unless your bard doesn't mind running ballad 2-3 times per fight.
