This is true. In FCoB, except possibly T11, you NEED Ballad as SMN to compete with a BLM. Considering T10-12 do not require Ballad for healers except during progression, it becomes an issue of Army's or Foe's, with Ballad being by far the least helpful song to the raid just to sing for SMN.

Any time you could sing Ballad for SMN (assuming healers don't need it also), you could be singing Foe's for BLM/SCH and make the difference that much stronger.

Lmfao since when is a Bard going to put up Mage Ballad just so a Summoner can keep up their damage. The only time a Bard does Mage Ballad is when the White Mage needs MP for healing otherwise they won't put it up because it's more efficient to use TP song.

Summoner needs a band aide until 3.0 expansion. Lets face it Summoner's generally get kicked to the curb for a Black Mage or Bard when it comes to dps checks. It's been that way since Binding Coil of Bahamut. The problem is the Summoner's optimal rotation is the most mp draining rotation as well and if we use Energy Drain it's a loss of 25-40 dps which is a massive lost during dps checks. If we keep firing away with are only reliable nuke Fester we run out of MP in the middle of a fight and our dps tanks. I suggest reducing the mp cost for the Bio, Bio II, Miasma and Miasma II, increase the potency of Dots or reduce the cool down on Enkindle to 120s.

this right here is the good. removed the bad. except the smn getting pushed to the side. smn dps is great.

time to look at spell speed and dots. sharing gear that is obviously designed for a blm is frustrating
