    Armoury System/Multi-Job Support is Weak

    I understand SE is exploring options to alter Weekly Loot Lockout.

    So we'll see on that avenue, however that isn't the end of the issues with this system.

    If the game weren't so "alt-unfriendly" (e.g. can't mail to alt's), it wouldn't be as big as a problem.

    Neither if the game weren't pitched as "all Jobs, one character".

    But it was, so alas...

    POETICS are essentially capped/tuned around gearing one Job at a time.

    RELIC QUEST almost entirely forces you to play the One Job & only that One Job (sure, it makes sense, but to make the process so incredibly long/involved, it edges the line crossing reason).

    And plenty of other problems...

    What is all your opinion/suggestions on this issue?

    SE sandwiched themselves between trying to create appeal with the multi-job system and trying to restrict progression with multiply tiered lock-outs in end-game (+ as you mention the relic time sink). There's nothing that can really be done about it other than abandonment of either one of their goals (the former) or one of their conscious design decisions (the latter). In short I think this is a problem in the eyes of the playerbase, but I doubt SE would see it that way. To them it's probably working as intended. At the end of the day the expectation is when push comes to shove you are putting your resources into one job above others and that is the decision you are going to live with, in SE's eyes it also keeps you playing longer and extends your sub life. More time spent getting loot for alts over the course of the lock-out durations = more money for them.

    There is nothing wrong with the relic quest honestly. The problem is the reward is not worth the effort.

    As for the content. They are trying to mash a game with multi-class system which is usally reserved for a sandbox style mmo with a WoW style mmo which was designed for single class per character and alts.

    Aka the content is designed for an alt based mentality, but the class system is designed for a everything on 1 character design. The first one is the problem in my opinion not the latter.

    What effort? The time you spend facerolling through fights like Garuda HM or doing dungeons like Amdapor Keep and Sastasha? Man, such demanding "effort".

    You do know that you get more bang for your buck by having ONE character that can freely switch between classes/jobs? That's why I never liked or played WoW. You were locked into one class and that was it. You were not flexible. I know that the Relic quests will be a time sink when I get to the point in the game, but I really don't care. I've got enough time. Besides, I only have to pay $9.99 a month for being Legacy, so I'm in no rush.

    Also this game was pitched as essentially not requiring alts.

    Simple way around that. Dump stuff you want to give to alt in FC chest, pick up stuff on Alt. Some people in my FC do it all the time.

    That's not the only issue. Also, that's a terrible solution/workaround (susceptible to theft, etc.).

    Besides, you're missing the point. Read the last line in my above post.

    Meh there is no problem honestly, it's the difference between having a set of i110 gear and i120 gear. i120 is meant to take time, i110 gear can be obtained through soldier tomes + ST drops. So now you have poetics, the point of poetics is to pick the job you plan to focus on for content the most but honestly you don't need x gear unless you are doing certain content otherwise you are just overgearing yourself for the situation.

    If your objective is to obtain the best of the best gear for each job then it is going to take time, you can do coil to try and speed it up, you can cap poetics every week to speed it up but if you want to get your alternative jobs to a higher Ilevel then you have to look to soldier gear and other methods that are a little weaker than the best of the best.

    If it was so easy to get the best of the best for each job then there would be no point in having soldier tomes because then everyone would just focus on x method to obtain the i120 for each job. The whole point is poetics=main job, soldier=alternatives, yes you'll be weaker, yes you won't heal as much, your hp won't be as high your DD won't be as good but it's not like it's the end of the world if you are using weaker gear.

    You have to decide which job you want to focus on for coil for the best results or if you really are deseperate to obtain "high end" like tier gear then go through the materia-meld concept, it's been shown that coil I believe was beat by a group that took the time to upgrade their gear through crafted gear and than over materia it and ye know what it's a completely legit method to obtain a better dmg rate compared to what you are limited to through poetics.
