Is it possible to revamp Arcanist?

All the jobs are suppose to do the same amount of damage just in different ways. Acn isn't a buff class with the pet doing all the work; it's dot class that has support utility with a pet that does a small percentage of the work. Having spells that do damage in addition to placing a dot just sounds likes an Acn masquerading as Blm. OP, it seems like you're looking for the flair that only Blms can bring.

Used correctly, SMNs Egi does a substantial part of the SMNs DPS. 300ish from the SMN, 100ish from the egi. Not exactly "a small percentage".

No, I'm not saying Arcanist is a buff class but if they did it can't be a buff class. The big glaring problem that everyone overlooks is that the arcanist main means of attack is its weakness when it comes to large scale fights like ST, CT, and s ranks hunts. They can't do any damage outside of pets and ruin when too many DoTs are on a single target. If they did change how would they? Because they might change it.

Change in options to only display your status effects/dots on targets.
