It's depending on the phys. damage you make with the weapon
Mage = low phys. damage = low mp regen with moogle weapon.
Maybe if the mage build up some TP and then use a WS from another class he can get a bit more mp.
The devs should just change it that magical damage trigger the mp regen.

Or just boosted MP-regen over time - that was what the OP wanted in this case.

Im Gegensatz zu Chocobos könnt ihr euren Goobbue keinen Namen geben. Ihr werdet auch nicht mit ihm kämpfen können. Nur Chocobos können an eurer Seite in den Kampf ziehen.
Unlike Chocobos, you can't give your gobbue a name. It also won't be able to fight with it. Only chocobos can join you in battle.

Allerdings können die Linkshell- und Bazaarsymbole momentan nicht vom Spielernamen getrennt werden. Das bedeutet, dass ihr entweder alles seht oder nichts. Aber seid versichert, dass wir versuchen, dieses Problem für 2.0 zu lösen.
However, the Linkshell and Bazaar symbols cannot be separated from the name currently. That means you'll either see everything or nothing. But be assured that we'll try to fix this problem for 2.0.

Ich habe ein paar Infos für dich (und die anderen natürlich).
Es wird keine Gegenden geben, die nur per Chocobo oder anderen Reittieren erreicht werden können.
Was tauchende Reittiere angeht, so werden sich die Devs zuerst darum kümmern, dass die Spielcharaktere schwimmen können. (Ich frage mich, ob man dafür dann Badeanzüge tragen muss)
I have some new information for you (and the others of course).
There will be no locations that can only be reached by Chocobos or other mounts.
With regards to underwater mounts, the devs will first be worrying about making the playable characters swim. (I wonder if one would have to wear a swimsuit for that.)

There has been quite a bit of activity these last few days. This first one is from asking about Ifrit's cooldown timers. The person in question was reporting that Ifrit's plumes were showing up before the erruptions had ended. Although this doesn't quite answer her question, it does give a little info...
The german forums also have a poll going on whether or not you've got yourself a gobbue yet.
One person asked if they would be able to enlarge or reduce the size of the mini map in the future, perhaps even have a zoom function.

Tut mir leid, dass ich erst jetzt darauf antworte. Ein solcher Unterschied ist momentan nicht geplant. Die Optik ist der einzige Unterschied zwischen Goobbue und Chocobo.
Sorry that I've only just gotten to answering this. Such a differentiation is currently not planned. The optical appearance is the only difference between Gobbue and Chocobo.
