Summoner/Scholar design flaw since original concept

Summoner and Scholar sharing the same class was inherently doomed from the start. In every other MMORPG Arcane user's have three separate specializations.
Affliction- Pet Caster and Regenerative Healer.
Summoner/Demonology- Pet Caster and Damage Dealer
Destruction/Necromancer- Undead Pet Caster and Enhance DoT spells.

The reason other MMORPG's and WoW runs this set up is so advanced classes don't overlap and limit one another. Right now the Summoner falls behind every class during gear and dps checks unless their popping poisoning potions and intelligent potions to keep up with other direct damage classes. That's why raids prefer Black Mage and Melee for T4, T8 and T9. Most raid groups don't use the Summoner for its damage dealing they use them for Pet soak in T5, kiting Renaulds in T7 and then switch to Black Mage for T8 and T9.

Wait...what. As far as I know (numerous clears of both raids helps), SMN are considered the better caster for all BCoB and SCob turns except T4 (Flare all the bugs!). Better single target DPS (really only behind mnk and maybe nin), less movement penalties, multi-dot capability and utility place them over BLM in raids for the most part. Though in FCoB, (currently on t12), they seem to suffer from a lot of mana issues, so BLM gets a point there. Whether that makes blm better in FCoB or not is still to be seen; as far as I'm concerned smn is still better due to utility and more single target DPS (heals need manasong anyway for now)

My main is SCH. My job feels complete. The only complain I have are the INT traits.
I'm also a bit worried about the 51-60 class skills being useless to me 'cause Arcanist is a DPS class. But we'll see.

this happens every so often. akiza will make a thread saying smn isnt smn because of reasons that have nothing to do with this game, reference other games, and make retarded suggestions to make the job OP as all hell.

Only most of the time he/she confines the treads to the DPS group, and doesn't let it spill over into the General discussion.

Must have decided the other thread wasn't getting any traction.
