DEV'S! Please add this (or something like it) to the 1.19 list ASAP. The 1.19 patch looks like it could be pretty awesome, but alot will still fail without at least a decent party search system! THIS IS A MUST!!!

very true, it would be sad to see all this stuff about party bonuses and so many more group events coming just to have them feel ruined because we cant effectively find groups. Its the one big flaw as to why i havent stayed logged in to get levels up and ready for future content...theres never any groups being shouted for or made in the recruit thing.

MeowyWowie 1) This has to be one of the best requested post I have seen so far and totally forgot there was even a search feature IN XIV! lol And now that I have seen it, it looks ... meh. I longed since launch for a search or more or less the old XI feature to just /sea all which MANY have mentioned. It was easy to use. Also, I was wondering why they didn't have the icon feature like in XI that showed, "Hey, this guy is looking for a PT too! Let's invite them!" HOW could this have been over looked? *sigh
2) When you played XI MeowyWowie, what world were you on and under what name?
I'm seeing more and more people shouting for parties on Fabul lately, yet not a single person is using our current system. It's incredibly difficult to even check if people are seeking with our current system anyways, so I may be wrong but I doubt it.
Fact is, people want to party. People are realizing how good SP is in party situations (up to 50k/hour is some cases). And I'm hoping people are seeing how much more fun it is to grind with other people than to solo.
This system needs to be fixed, as soon as possible. As Exni said, with 1.19 we will see even more party based content being added. Yet we'll still have a broken recruitment interface.
Put this at the top of your list SE, the game needs it now more than ever.

"but...but...but...we put in a "seek" button....see...we are trying right?"
why a real system was not put in a LONG time ago is kind of confusing, like they are saying "do how we want it or dont do it at all!" ...or at least tanaka would have been just like that...
I know they want to keep far away from FFXI, and just mentioning that game make some people get angry... but, they should just use the search and lfp function of FFXI. It worked well. At least use it as a foundation to build upon. This is basic stuff that they have somehow made so difficult.
This is the best thread.
Please the game need this as soon as possible.
To the OP, or anyone who knows.. Has there been any response whatsoever from the DEVs regarding the state of the recruit system and future plans for it? Is this an issue they are even considering at this point? I wasn't able to find anything. I know they haven't got around to talking about plans for post 1.19 much, but they could at the very least recognize the issue if they haven't already.
They've acknowledged that the system is broken and stated that they will be making adjustments to improve it. There are no specific details, though.
If their planned "fixes" are anything similar to their last "fix" (adding the seek invite to drop down selection) I think it's safe to say that they are just wasting their time.
im quite surprised there has been NO response to this. Its clearly a problem and will hinder much of the effort to add in lots of group content. This should have been dealt with a while ago (people have been asking since day 1) and i think it would be a very nessicary thing for 1.19...hell for the community in general. It feels dead in the game when noone uses what we have now or have to stick to LS only because there is little choice in it and its overly complicated for no reason.
