BLM lose lot more dps than smn if you need move lot in the fight. I think it is fair trade from summoners mana management. You just need plan the fight and use energy drain in the phases where dps is not so important.

Do we really lose to BLMs, providing the BLM hasnt out Ilvled me horrible my dps with pets clears theirs no problem.
Energy Drain restores 528 MP if used during rotation at a lose of 27-37 dps. It's either maintain mp at as lose of damage or keep dps up with another fester at the cost of draining mp that is why I suggest reducing the cool down of Enkindle to 120s because it a nuke that doesn't use MP.Energy Drain doesn't restore enough for SMN, period. There is nothing more to say. Potency increases are unnecessary and a cooldown decrease for Enkindle would do absolutely nothing. Moreover, 90% of your post has nothing to do with the topic at hand, stop posting irrelevant drivel.
You're on the right track. Unfortunately it's not mainstream because of people who knock it before they try it.This is probably a stupid idea but how much would it help to put piety on your Novus in this case or otherwise work piety into your gear? Since the amount of MP you get from Aetherflow is 20% of your total MP, you'd get more back with more piety. I'm guessing it probably wouldn't be a significant enough increase, though, or a build like that would have been done already.
XI: Zeroblade, Titan Server
Energy Drain restores 266MP per use, not 528. Two charges restore 532MP and three restores 798MP. Even if you used three charges, those reserves won't last long. And again, a cooldown reduction to Enkindle would do nothing in terms of keeping DPS up. Three Festers per minute versus one Enkindle every two minutes. The DPS loss would still be apparent.Energy Drain restores 528 MP if used during rotation at a lose of 27-37 dps. Piety provides slightly less than 8 mp per point; we'll call it 8 for ease of calculations. You get 2% of your mp back every 3 seconds in combat, so 40% per minute; adding Aetherflow to this makes 60%. This means that as long as you don't lose any mp from regen or Aetherflow because your mana is too high (and since this topic is about SMN mp issues, I'm assuming your mp won't be that high), every point of Piety you have will grant you 8 mp plus 4.8 per minute of fight length. In a ten minute fight, you get 56 mp from a point of Piety; a fifteen minute fight means you get 80 per point. If you throw 30 Piety on your relic, that's 2400 mp over the course of a fifteen minute fight. Whether that's worth sacrificing 30 crit or determination or whatever you would otherwise be putting on your relic I cannot say for certain. This is probably a stupid idea but how much would it help to put piety on your Novus in this case or otherwise work piety into your gear? I doubt it though.
Good King Moogle Mog, Good King Mog! Lord of all the land (kupo)!
I did put PIE on my Relic. On Novus it caps at 23 (~170 MP). Lost about 10 each of Det/Crit. So maybe 1.25% damage overall.
It's not enough extra MP if you don't pace yourself or have to Raise a couple times. But it helps a little.
SMN has enough MP if used efficiently.
Really curious how this is even possible, and/or required to hit DPS checks for T10.

Was slightly exaggerated now that I reread that, but my point still stands. I have to start using energy drain during the first add phase or I'll be out of MP. Maybe not "required" to hit the DPS check, but I really shouldn't need to lower my DPS in order to make up for summoner's poor sustainability. Yes, melee and tanks can have TP issues as well, but it isn't anywhere as bad, not to mention goad and paeon taking priority over ballad.
