    Doesn't look like anything close to a commitment to make it a DPS job. It "feels" more like a DPS to him, but given that they're not even committing to adding it at all (still "examining"), I'm staying expectationless on this one.

    pretty much what bixby said. nowhere was it said "sam is a dps". closest is saying it feels like a dps to Yoshi. and thats about it.

    Yes Samurai a DPS job where you have an ability to throw your Gil at enemies for massive damage!... In Japanese we can call it Zeninage... In English, um how about gil toss. Uh too plain... How about "Heaven's smite"!

    I'm disappointed, but mostly because that means it's one less viable candidate to join the tank pool. We don't have many jobs that can convincingly fit the role of tank, and SAM was one of them.

    * The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
