whats the point of fishing in 2.4?

Some days ago i leveld my fisher to 50 and now is with AF max melded and road to get forager rod. My question is: which benefits can i get from fishing in 2.4? I know in 2.3 we can get bikinis and other galmours, but in 2.4?

Didn't they add more fish and spots in 2.4. Is there really any point to fishing in the game? I think the biggest thing was desynth and gathering for CUL. The fancy stuff is just a want, not a need. Heck I'm lvl 50 FSH and still trying to catch that Titanic Sawfish, well actually haven't tried in a while. Just after 2.4 I did and while I was a message popped up about a new fish in the area due to all the missing fish I was catching, of course never caught it and after a few minutes a message came back up saying something like "I no longer sense something in the area" or something like that. So they must have added something in 2.4, have to look through the patch notes.

Even after yu get the i80 rod, the same RNG will be involved for subsequent FSH anything, so to answer your question, there is no point if yu aren't and end-gamer.

Fishing's always been something of a personal bubble, largely motivated by the desire to do it than its spot within the ecosystem.

That said there's actually some new craftables putting certain fish into demand, there's still the cosmetics, and as mentioned there's a handful of new valuable desynth opportunities available too.
