Just a rant from someone actually playing

People are helpfull. You just havent found a good group yet.becouse MMOs are after all (and especially ffxi-xiv) about joining a group that you have fun with and help each other.
If you were in my server i would tell you to join up so i can show you how wrong you are about people not helping newbies.I walked all my linkshell(almost) to their first jeuno trip back in 2005=).A lot of people up to this day enjoy helping others.

ley me school you in on something. I play'ed 30 mmo. FFxi being the longest. PPl no longer help out as they used to. I've been in 30-40 linkshells and over 4 servers. Like I said a guy shouted for 30 min in jeuno needing help back to home town no one eveb replied him. More often then not ppl shout back "learn2play" most mmo are going solo now.
Go on ffxi right now. on a different server and see how helpful ppl are. When I started a new character I ask for help getting to jeuno, I got told "wiki got maps good luck"

So this whole forum has proven to be what we all were expecting: just a bunch of groundless complaints and impracticable ideas.

Really, I'm getting tired of this attitude, everyone feels like they can say something about this game even if they played it for a few days.
I don't mean that this game is perfect, it is far from it, it has lots of flaws and needs a lot of work. And I don't mean either that if the game is quite fine at the late ranks it should just remain as it is, I believe it has to be fun from the beginning, wich right now is not.

But in order to make any constructive criticism you have to know how something is working.

Personally I believe all the threads that says "change it from the roots", "bring back FFXI", "scrap the stamina gauge", "scrap the BR", "scrap the armory system" are just bs.

You really wanna be helpful? Go play the game, test every aspect and then make conclusions

Hi Alcide, I almost completely agree. People around here feign such knowledge about the game and its flaws. It can be very annoying when it's so obviousy they dont know crap.

But there are still people who do play alot who dislike many of the elements of the game, right down to the armory system and Battle Regimens.

I think it's good to take everyone's perspective on board, but take those with less familiarity with the game with a big grain of salt.

I am so sorry that you came off so arrogant. I see a lot of people from both servers I play on here and they have been playing for at least 2 months. I agree with where you are coming from though, some people are like scrap everything and star again. Like with the wards. I would be gutted if they spent the next 2 month making an AH when the wards are fine now. Probably all they need is a request button, which would allow you to ship things from other cities.

What do you think the website was build for? to complain ppl just need to learn how to complain and give a reason why this and that should change and how to fix it. The GM on here said this few hours ago and i think that the best idea

complain all you want but give a reason and a good feedback how to fix the problem then maybe the devs team would use it,

I agree with Advanced Wind, there are so many people here trying to put some excellent ideas / reasonable critisism , that most of it is drowned by the constant trolling, complaints WITHOUT including an idea on how it can be fixed, and complete nonsense. I mean for example you make a post about what could help fix the game and right away you see a post about how that wont work because that's not how SE is gonna do it <.< I mean no real explanation is given on why it wouldnt work, just a negative remark. I just dont understand some people T_T

I read a lot of very good posts with a lot of good suggestions so far in that forum. Much more then i expected and a lot more then in all other mmo forums i read so far.
There are always answers like "you flame- go home" or "oh you being a white knight" but honestly. WHO CARES.
Both answers are not worth anything to me and shouldnt matter to anyone else.

So far i really tried to be objective regarding my critics but sometimes i just feel like raging. why?
Ive seen so many good posts without flaming, just constructive and a lot of ideas- And ppl start flaming at these ppl, sometimes without even reading the posts it seems. Ive even seen ppl defending something, that wasnt even adressed in a post...

And please for a lot of people who didnt understand: Saying an opinion and give good reasons for it = critics, the game needs. So don't waste time on calling these ppl Flamers. Critics is the reason why this game is being changed. And i think/hope for the better.

Praising everything doesnt help either. Pointing out things you like defenitely does help. And even if you like something, perhaps you have an idea to even improve it?

It's the same about the new quests. A lot of people didnt like them for a lot of good reasons.
The standard answer to that i see is : "You wanted quests, now you have them: DONT COMPLAIN!!!"

The same people speak about ffxiv being so unique. The quests are not, they are at the same lvl as aion/rift/wow mini-quests, and acutally a little bit less creative even. so... why not complain? There were so many posts about quests, how ppl want them to be, nobody wrote i want mindless (kill 8 quests), and SE made exactly that. So if nobody complained about this, we would get more of the same mindless quests every month. Great.

And since ffxi came up again. Look at ffxi closely and then ffxiv, forget about the HD graphics then theres nothing left but ffxi with different optics and lacking content and almost no refreshing ideas, its just a bit tweaked. So let people compare the 2 games since if SE made them so different, nobody would compare it so often.

"This is FFXIV not FFXI" - well tbh i don't know what ffxiv is, and what will be, and i think nobody really does atm.
"This game is goin in the right direction" - what direction is that? the interviews point out that theres so much to be changed and we don't know much about content or endgame or how the class system will turn out to be in the end.
So... tell me what is the direction? The right direction they do is in communication. That is obvious imo. But the rest only time will tell.

and if you agree with a post just post "good post, or i agree" and if you don't agree, say WHY!!!!! Please!!! Nobody needs answers like "this is fucking BS".
