Just a rant from someone actually playing

So this whole forum has proven to be what we all were expecting: just a bunch of groundless complaints and impracticable ideas.

Really, I'm getting tired of this attitude, everyone feels like they can say something about this game even if they played it for a few days.
I don't mean that this game is perfect, it is far from it, it has lots of flaws and needs a lot of work. And I don't mean either that if the game is quite fine at the late ranks it should just remain as it is, I believe it has to be fun from the beginning, wich right now is not.

But in order to make any constructive criticism you have to know how something is working.

Personally I believe all the threads that says "change it from the roots", "bring back FFXI", "scrap the stamina gauge", "scrap the BR", "scrap the armory system" are just bs.

You really wanna be helpful? Go play the game, test every aspect and then make conclusions

To tell you the truth.. if they just built off a ff11 foundation and worked their way up then all these horrible posts on "fix the game!!" wouldn't be here and i can guarantee you that everyone here waisting their time posting on these forums have played the game (yes including me)

That's a lie... Everyone complains, all the time. Known fact. Even if the game's design was finalized, people would still whine and complain.

I just hate all the conformists. Hearing things like "everything else has it this should too" pisses me off, especially when that "everything else" has nothing to do with the game's (or FF's) core.

Oh really? because I remember to see forums full of complaints about FFXI (that I loved, mind you). Actually the new FFXI forums ARE full of complaints.

I feel the same, but from both trolls and white knights.You can perfectly whant the game to succed and post constructive criticism, but no, we have to eighter be completely blind to the current problems and bring the "it has potential" line, or just all erased /reworked into a ffxi -2(or worst).

We need to focus on what is important right now.So devs can stop working on making things that wont make the game better at this point.The fundations are broken, we need to fix them and replace what it does not work.

Then we can talk about new classes, new races , new areas etc, etc,etc.Right now is just a waste of everyones time.
Incoming " for the future" reply.Sure , we dont even know what the future holds so i would focus on the present at this time.

Having put several daily hours into this game for the past 5 months, I can say with confidence that 'Stamina' and 'Fatigue' were totally shit ideas.

I enjoy the game. A lot. Here are things I complain about:

Market Wards loading Retainers slowly.
Gridania
Generic Class System
Gear Damage
The fact Dex doesn't do anything. (I have 6 overall and noticed no difference from when I had 100)
Archers

Here are the things I can openly discuss as an expert on the game:
Idling at Ococo
Emotes

My point here is that no one here has an authority to demand any changes, but unlike me, they will continue to post about it and complain until their Devine God comes down from the clouds and "fixes" the game to exactly the way they want it.

...and then new people will come to complain.

Also anyone who suggests the BR system be removed is a fool and doesn't know how to use it properly.

Fatigue and Stamina are fine also. Spaming actions will result in 0 Stamina. This is logic. Stop spamming.

But I agree, personally after the 1.16 patch it should be known by know nothing will ever be good enough to the player base. I saw some side quests on youtube and I see no need for CS. Just not enough there to do one. I've seen the aggro icon and I personally don't think its bad. Not all mobs that aggro look fierce. In ffxi bunnies/rats aggro'ed and linked, bats also. Oh and gaint cattapillars. Sorry but those don't scream "ima agro you" so an icon does help with the less obviouse ones. It is more for newbies anyway. As in no one helps. I did a topic like this last night. I made a suggestion for market wards to be less messy. So when i can play ( ps3 launch or pc fix) I won't feel over whelmed when using them.

Potential players though who follow this game to a fault should have as much say as we are the target of SE in the long run.

The official forums are a bit better than what I thought, but meh. Pretty much all good ideas are being swallowed up in the sea of nonsense.
