    Super Slow Download Speed

Due to some corrupted file, I needed (or I thought I needed) to uninstall and re-install the game. So, I uninstalled the game a few hours ago, and now I am trying to re-install it.

The problem is -- the download speed is ~0.15 mbps (this would take 20 something hours to download). I know, from installing it a few months ago and downloading other games in the past, that my usual download speed is ~1.0-2.0 mbps.

I have checked ping for any lost packets,
    I have ran as Admin,
I have uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times,
I have updated my router drivers,
I have done the 30 seconds unplug trick,
I have checked other game (LoL reinstall is the same ~100kbps)
I have also check download speed from numerous sites, and they are reading me at 12-18 mbps.

I simply don't know what the deal is or what to do,

somewhere along your route, your packets may be getting queued to a lower priority for your downloads. This is something your ISP's Tier3 people may need to investigate.

They also may not have been one of the lucky ones that got the fast-track mirroring set up (or it's no longer active for your ISP). I was getting mine from an Akamai IP for most of this year, but this last one was coming from a Time Warner Cable one (my ISP), and it pulled down at a steady 1.8 to 1.9 Megs/second depending if I was doing something else on my network. Note that the times given in the launcher are measured by the byte and not the bit. 1.8 megabytes is a little over 15 megabits. Big "B" is for bytes, which is 8 bits and uses a lower case "b" to represent it.

It could even be something as bizarre as them simply throttling your download speed because of data caps or other policy that kicks in when you get flagged for suspicious activity (pulling a 1GB download may be seen as potential torrent use or something). .15 MB/s would be in the neighborhood of 1.25mb/sec.

I am only having this issue will FFXIV and LoL, so the idea that my ISP is capping my on broadband with these is possible.

I usually download around 1.0-2.0 MB/s, and the tests are running at 12-18 mb/s. Is that correct?

Gonna let the game download over night and see how that goes. I know usually when something like this occurs, I am going to get a "corrupted file" message tomorrow. But ty for the reply, I think, if it has not resolved itself, I will call my ISP. I do use a large amount of broad band between this game, watching HD streams, and videos; so i can see them capping me somewhere.

    NVM, just got a message:

    The server is not responding.

Something with the registration of my account? or something to do with Realtek drivers (which I checked and are up to date).
