I think you might want to go back a few page to get an idea what is being actually discussed,and you might know what that bit is about "denying people's progress",unless you mean to just jump in and leave smart remarks which in that case by all means do continue uninterrupted.

Time is a limited resource. There's no feasible way for anyone to personally help every person they come across that might need help.
Therefore, personal help is usually limited to only friends, FC members, and linkshells.

Just because a certain type of player screams the loudest and tends to leave a more lasting impression, doesn't necessarily mean they are the majority.

No,but repeated encounter with such experiences can make one imply they are the majority


Seems like I'm being visited by the usual vocal members of one aforementioned specific camp on the forum. So,as much fun as it can be attracting the ire of 1337,I'm going to leave this thread out at that before it turns into something undesirable like the earlier threads of this nature.

Because you were questioning the value of guides.

Some people take pride in guiding others since it shows that they have really done the job and get past the ordeal,but it's one thing to give a lettered guide and another to jump down in trying to achieve a clear with other people. A lettered guide wouldn't even matter if no one want you to take part in actual run.

Earlier in the thread, you made this statement:

Which, I believe, is a warped view of how things are.

There's no time to personally help everyone out there who needs help. Therefore, personal help is generally only given to friends and FC/LS members.

To help those who cannot be helped personally, experienced players write up guides and make guide videos.

So tell me again how these "mountain climbers" don't want to help others?
