    Currencies!

    Hii all,

Was just wondering what would be the best way to "farm" the different currencies in the game? I just hit 50 but behind in the story because i'm waiting to continue it with my friends, so I wanna do something productive while I wait for them.

Soldiery/Poetics: Unlock and run daily roulettes. That'll cap your poetics each week, you shouldn't need to specifically farm them unless you're getting toward the end of the week and still need some or you're in a rush to cap them right off the bat. If that's the case, spam Expert even after it's done. For soldiery, you can either keep spamming dungeons, or story roulette (there's a new player to get the new player bonus pretty often). If you can get a good group together for it, Hunts can still be a decent source of soldiery, but that's not a small "if."

Company Seals: FATEs if there's a zone where a good number of people are doing FATEs (the ROG/NIN rush is dying down, so this isn't quite the sure thing it was a week ago). Grand Company leves if not. Hest & low level roulettes on non-50 jobs, too. Oh, and also Expert deliveries with all the gear dungeon/tome/etc. gear you upgrade out of. Roll on everything just for this.

Gil: Gather, craft, and/or spiritbond. There's no one-size-fits-all answer. For gathering and crafting, you have to research a bit to find what sells & why (if you don't know why people buy something, you're just going to be surprised when the bottom falls out of that market). Spiritbonding is less research-intensive, but a bit more luck-based.

Allied Seals: These only come from Hunts, so... Hunts. Between "nerfs" in the last patch and the ROG/NIN rush, Hunts have died down quite a bit. And the scene is different from server to server; on some servers, there are Hunt LSes that you can join "permanently." On some servers, the Hunt LSes let anyone who's actively hunting join, and leave/get kicked when they're not actively hunting anymore. These days, though, with so few people doing them, it's hard to say how things are going.

Because you're waiting on your friends to complete the story, you won't be able to do a lot of level 50 content, unfortunately. A huge amount has completion of the Praetorium as a prerequisite to appearing, including almost all of the 4-man dungeons and Hard Mode trials onwards. There won't be a good source of Soldiery or Poetics for you as a result - the first farmable ones are the Main Story roulette.

Otherwise what's been listed above is true. I think you can go Hunting and join hunting parties without completing Praetorium, so that's by far your best bet for tomes and marks.

as for allagan tome of Sol and Poe
since you just got to 50 and yet to finish MQ, I'd suggest you do the following
    Dungeon: Sastasha (Hard)
    Quest: It's Definitely Pirates
    Location : Mor Dhona (X:22 Y:8)
    NPC: Bloezoeng
Requirement: "The Ultima Weapon" main quest
    and
Dungeon: The Sunken Temple of Qarn (Hard)
    Quest: The Wrath of Qarn
    Location: Mor Dhona (X:22 Y:8)
    NPC: Hugubert
Requirement: "The Ultima Weapon" main quest and completed "The Sunken Temple of Qarn"

These 2 Dungeons will give you 40 Tome of Poe alongs with 50 Tome of Sol
but ilv requirement is 80, so if you haven't geared up properly, I'd suggest you go do some "hunting", since you can exchange ilv100 gears from Allied seals as well.

I'll double post since I hit my text limit XD

    Next is Company Seals
1st you'll need to farm some FATE to get those seal, do GC logs to get bonus seals and unlock new rank
once your rank is high enough (I can't really remember though) you'll be able to turn "Green, Blue, Pink" into seals which will enable you to get tons of seals quickly

    Gils
I don't really know how to suggest this, but I'd say, DoL is the cheapest and fastest way to make money, since all the investment are, of course, yourself.
crafting might be a bit pricey at start since you won't be able to make HQ stuffs easily, and low lv HQ equipment usually cost just a few thousand.
Spiritbonding is one of the fastest way, but very risky since you might ended up wasting time for a small amount of money

The hell? is it just me who blabbing too much or 1k characters limit is stupid?
anyway, this will be the last post for the info, since I just want to give advice in as much detail as possible :<
    Allied seals
    as mentioned above by Bixby
find a couple LS and go with them, also do daily and weekly hunting bills since it also give you seals.
if you consider using allied seals to gear up your character, put accessories on since they cost less than clothes
once you hit ilv80, you can farm TOS by running dungeons over and over.
if you aren't going to use these for ilv100 gear, you can just save them for relic weaps.

    best of luck!

It is. It's not there on edited posts, though.

10 posts per page is only the default setting; it is bad, and you should feel bad if you haven't changed it.

Thanks everyone for the info! I guess i'll just do my daily roulette's for now till I complete the story, so far that looks like the only way I can get Tomes.
