Yup, pretty much have to purchase the Mini Aetheryte for 14,470 Seal from your Grand Company, or buy off the auction house then you can teleport. It is one of the housing items that have actual uses. Others includes:

Mail Box - A working mailbox
Chocobo Stables - Same as the ones you can have with your FC. Train your chocobo and change its color etc.
Garden - 3 Sizes, get the largest one. Can place 1 for Small House, 2 for Medium house and 3 for Large House. Need to garden rare plants and stuff.
Training Dummy - Pretty much just for practicing your rotation and stuff.
Summoning Bell - Used to summon retainers
Merchant NPCs - 3 Types, 1 Sell Crafting Mats, 1 sell Dyes and the other Mend equipment. Bought for 3k from housing NPC.
Armoire - New Item from 2.4, pretty much just like the Armoire in your inn room except this one cost like 3 mil.
Food Furnishing - New type of Furnishing added in this patch - click on them for food buff, each one have 10 uses.

Other Furniture items that are interactive:
Chairs and beds - Able to sit on them
Clocks - They actually show Eorzea Time which is pretty cool.
Certain Lighting - Click to turn them on and off.
